I played through the original at something like 12FPS on my 7950GT, which was top of the line barely a year before Crysis (for people as dumb as I was who decided to buy a late 7 series card, not realizing just how big of a leap gtx 8000 would be months later..) it was just plain torture. I don't see that happening again, that game was really more of a 2007 tech demo meant to show what games would be like years later ... running in real time. Hardware and game engines have long since caught up.

     

    At least this re-release of the game should be far more multi-thread friendly.. bottleneck is going to be in the ray tracing for sure.

     

    This appears to be using the Raytracing feature that doesn't rely on RTX cores, as seen in the Neon Noir benchmark we were running a few months ago.. That's going to be cool to try out.
