  1. I'll be doing the prize drawings tonight everyone, hold tight
  2. Windows 10 reinstalls pretty fast as long as you download all the drivers and don't give it an internet connection during setup until you install all your device drivers including chipset. Then Ninite makes it easy to install most of the standard apps again.
  3. Maybe a borked graphics driver install and or GPU cache? Maybe a run of DDU and reinstall GPU will fix it.
  4. No, I had to actually go in to my Appdata and delete the entire FAHClient folder after uninstalling. I think mine happened after a GPU graphics reinstall but I can't remember.
  5. I had this happen a few weeks back on Windows 10, had to completely remove FAH including APPDATA folder, reboot and reinstall, was a little annoying
  6. Do you mean the Foldathon Specific one? That one is still showing results from last month, once the Foldathon starts in 9 hours, it will be wiped clean and will start to show the current results.
  7. At least the Surface Go still has a great touch screen, speakers and battery life and was priced properly. I wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't for the price, still a great little machine for work when I ened to mark up PDF's, work on the odd office documents or catch a conference call on the go.
  8. We appreciate your points I'm thinking we will see a nice big boost with this Foldathon
  9. My Surface Go is great for on-the-go media consumption or checking a few websites here and there, but I definitely wouldn't go back and buy another one. A couple colleagues have various Surface Laptops and the build quality is great, but performance is lacking in many of them as well. Microsoft has some target audience I'm sure, but I just don't see it.
  10. Since Folding@Home uses hardcoded IP's for all the work servers, could we technically just give the machine running F@H a bad DNS server and prevent the majority of application updates and non F@H requests? Could even maybe modify the windows firewall to block the IP's we know belong to Windows Updates and Microsoft...
  11. @Cerberus brought up a good point with me that we could also group all the Folding Time Prizes as one prize for a single person to win. And it's a good point that with this many Folding Time Prizes, there's a chance someone can win someone else's.
  12. Thanks mate, will add that to the first post, much appreciated!!!
  13. This makes me feel a little better about going 4x8 GB for my future 5900x system instead of 2x16 GB, will be curious to see Gamer's Nexus to more testing like this going forward.
  14. I already have new parts for my new Gaming PC: - Asus Prime X570-Pro - Corsair 3200 MHz 2x 16 GB (to be added to a same kit to make 32GB - Sea Sonic Focus Gold 850 W I was really hoping to get a 5900x, but I was refreshing 5900x and 5800x on Amazon, Newegg, Canada Computers and Memory Express Amazon Canada and Newegg Canada went from no stock to out-of-stock instantly, Canada Computers and Memory Express seemed to not even do any online orders and were only doing in-store which is kind of crap because the closest Canada Computers is 4 hour drive from me and in-store stock at various store seemed to all be single digits on the website before store opening time. I'm rather disappointed by the lack of stock for a product AMD was hyping this much and had proven great internal benchmarking results. I get many factors are at play with supply and demand and it's not just a simple analysis, but I'm still allowed my personal opinion gosh darn it!!!
  15. Source This is a lot of information from the previously disabled and hidden Twitter account of Robert Hallock (@Thracks). Some great news for Ryzen 5000, but I failed yesterday to get any CPU's and see them being scalped already. I was not expecting as much of a supply issue for Ryzen as they have had a good while to get that ramped up and either AMD wasn't expecting this many current Ryzen owners to want to upgrade, or weren't expecting as many new Ryzen buyers.
  16. Having a top area of two columns that had latest topics and latest news articles would be great, even better if they can be turned on of off.
  17. Looking forward to this project, love the black tubing.
  18. Every little bit helps mate, every little bit.
  19. That's why he's a backend developer and I'm just a hobbyist, so let him know we need better ideas then ?
