  1. These were my thoughts as well. After that Waterblocks are only available for select models which usually require a premium for both card and block, makes life difficult as a builder on a tight budget.
  2. You make me sick bro ....but that is some great PPD, I expected no less from a beast like the 3090.
  3. Lol. What the ! Yeah if that was true.... that was a dumb idea. Why hamstring yourself.
  4. Welcome ! I certainly recognise the username that is for sure. Enjoy your stay E
  5. Yes Strip is a payment processing platform we use as a alternative to Paypal as not all like utilizing Paypal
  6. While drivers are certainly immature for the 6000 GPU's and one can hope that future optimization as well as Fidelity FX will improve there overall standing. For me the 4K performance could be an issue and that is a hardware limitation which will not improve, granted Fidelity FX may take some of the strain when it comes along. On another note, looks life the AMD reference cards could be over :
  7. Source:https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/amd-radeon-rx-6800-and-6900-series-reference-cards-may-have-already-been-discontinued Well that was quick, if it is the case
  8. Hello all. Just confirming that the cup holders have been shipped to winners. Due to the site of time of year and Covid related traffic (More post than usual), it may take up to two weeks for delivery. All the best, E
  9. That is true ! I forgot about that issue. I adopted Zen+ when I moved over to Ryzen so fortunately did not get caught up in apl that.
  10. I need to get better at doing that. To be honest though I have said firmly this is my last AM4 build until AM5 comes out, even then will wait for a couple of generations. So hoping the 5950X will serve me well, do no see why now haha.
  11. That is awesome man, looks so cool.
  12. Actually have not pulled the trigger yet. Lots to consider and not in a huge rush. I will have to give the Pixel more of a consideration I think, I was also looking at the Oppo Find X2 then decided to wait as the new Snapdragon 888 chipset is due to come out for the Oppo Find X3 BUT obviously these phones are more expensive and in a different league from the Pixel.
  13. That sucks man, looks like the machine somehow goofed that one up. Good to hear you put it in the RMA pile. Not that it should matter how much you pay for a product...but with the cost of some components these days any fault should not be tolerated.
  14. I think that is wishful thinking. I have never found later batches of CPU to be better, not considering your golden silicon samples of course. If it was the case that waiting may yield a better CPU with respect to silicon quality...I would wait but these days usually just pull the trigger.
  15. Yeah those are factors too. I just hope sometime in 2021 that stock levels improve.. this year has been poor...for obvious reasons...but still poor. Yes that is right. I have the 5950X in my rig now. Installed the latest beta BIOS that allows for adjustment of the PBO via voltage curves. I am hoping to play with that soon. I would like to see how it is as a daily driver with optimized PBO vs an all core OC.
  16. Welcome to EHW, glad to have you here. Feel free to spread the gospel haha.
  17. The 6900XT is not too bad so far as the reviews I have seen. RT performance is as expected which is ...well a shame even though realistic considering it is AMD's first go at it. The standard rasterization is great though and considering the price difference can be compelling. I am just not sold right yet. Being that I run at 4K which is where Nvidia shine, and the fact the Nvidia ecosystem is much healthier, I am still pulled towards green.
  18. Stock has been scarce here BUT we do see batches coming in for the 5000 CPU'S. The RTX 30 Series is so so here..a few here and there.
  19. @Kuufa please can you send me your details within the next 48 hours. Otherwise you will forfeit your prize. Thanks, E
  20. Source: https://www.computerworld.com/article/3599875/microsoft-previews-new-way-to-upgrade-windows-10.html As an IT admin, not a huge fan of this. One of the "Good" things about feature updates rolled out 2-3 times a year is you could site back and read all the changes in each roll-out and check for possible issues related to existing software etc. It also made recovery far easier, if you install a feature update and it borks something, you know where it stems from EXACTLY. However if you roll these things out monthly or basically whenever MS feels it should, this muddies the water a little, granted it is not impossible to figure out, but it does make life a little harder to IT techs and where MS is concerned, please no lol.
  21. If those goes well, this could really take off considering it will be Nvidia agnostic and available for the masses so to speak. Fingers crossed this is something MS does well and AMD adopts well.
  22. Only just come across this, Nice ! Always great to see the project branching out and supporting as many devices as possible.
