  1. Congratulations guys ! @bonami2 please PM me your shipping details and I will get this off to you as soon as possible. Possible small delay as my area of the country is in Tier 4 of Covid restrictions
  2. Without checking I assume they were more for the eastern market ?
  3. So I looked at FFMPEG. Decided it easier to go for a manual edit of the files as time spent messing with it, I could just sort it myself lol.
  4. Well just prior to Xmas I bought myself 64Gb RAM (Team Group Dark Pro) and a new Oppo Find X2 Pro phone.
  5. I was thinking about it but a friend of mine got it and even with the latest patch it is still really buggy, so I will wait a little. Nice !
  6. I'm nosey, anyone get any tech under their tree ?
  7. I personally had never heard of them in my life other than the phone market. I paid £650 for it new, great spec and is better value in comparison to other more mainstream names. This is why I struggle to see the value in phones like the Pixel 5 so far as hardware. It goes for £599 and when you look at what it is packing.....I would rather spend the extra for the Oppo.
  8. So just a small update, I decided to give a Oppo a go, having used them before I have been impressed. They are like the Huawei back in the day before they became more mainstream. 12Gb / 512Gb Variant
  9. Hello all, Firstly, we would like to wish you all a happy holiday season and a happy new year! This year has been a trying time for all, putting Covid-19 aside for a moment, we have all been frustrated with poor stock levels for newly released products, pesky no good scalpers buying up all the stock that should be going to genuine PC builders and enthusiast and underhanded tactics from tech providers, just to name a few. Finger crossed that 2021 will bring a little normality to the tech community with a view to everyone having fair chance on getting their hands on the latest and greatest goodies. Covid-19 has been a challenge for us all in a multitude of ways. It has been a change to our way of life with respects to health, movement and logistics, just to name a few. The disruption caused is nothing less than extraordinary. However, we will pull through this. Online communities in my mind such as EHW and other alike on the web are hugely important. It gives us an escape from the everyday difficulties and lets us put down the challenges of life for a while and enjoy our interest with others, whether it be tech or otherwise. Our passion moving forward into 2021 will be very much the same, creating a platform and experience for all to enjoy and to continue the likeminded conversation that is everything technology related. 2020 has been a bumpy road for us with respect to the transition to a new forum software platform as well as creating our homepage which helps us to showcase our review articles/pro content. It has been no small feat getting this setup. Furthermore, we had no less than 3 back end infrastructure changes. This came down to a "live and learn" scenario since beginning our journey. However, we are now very confident with our new infrastructure. We have a fantastic level of security and backup/redundancy infrastructure which will ensure we are serving all of you in the best way possible. 2021 will see further growth for ExtremeHW, we are looking forward to bringing online new features and tools that we believe will be useful to the community and add to the overall experience. Furthermore, as we move forward, we will grow our friendships with manufacturers that allow us to bring you relevant review articles as well as partnering with manufactures in order to give us special giveaway opportunities/promotional events. Our focus as always will be the community and our passion is to make it the best place we can for you guys! We want to thank all of you who have joined us thus far, after all it is YOU that makes a community and we are thankful for all of you. We also want to thank our premium supporters and those who have made donations as this helps immensely with the costs of site running and feature development. Lastly, we want to thank our wonderful staff that help to bring you the Folding@Home competitions, Latest Industry News, Podcasts and our Review Content. Once again, we wish you all a happy holiday and a happy new year. Please remember to stay safe and responsible as always, but especially during this festive time. All the very best, Team EHW.
  10. That my friend is always the bloody way lol. We I.T people can be stubborn haha.
  11. Fingers crossed chaps. 99% of it is done and ready to go bar a little testing, then it just needs porting over to the live site
  12. Yeah I left that out, I also do a "rinse" of the loop ...a big one before popping in replacement cooling.
  13. Hey guys, So I was hoping to have the new site features and updates released to the live site from our development site prior to Christmas, however due to a share point issue at the developers end, this has caused some unfortunate and annoying delays (for both us and the dev). We are hoping to be back working on these up to the new year with a view to released either just prior to new year or sometime in January. It was my hopes to have everything sorted by then as I am excited by getting these features into play for everyone to benefit from. These features include but not limited to Rig Creator Web Content Embed Wizard Premium Settings Section Dark Theme Custom User Status Social Icons It is worth noting that we are also working on the Folding@Home stats section for the site. Fingers crossed there will be no more delays. Thanks for your patience ! E
  14. It's a sad world when companies turn a blind eye to the poor working conditions. I think these companies forget how important the little guy is to their operations and should do more these chaps.
  15. Great advice ! I always do a RAD flush if I am installing a new one into the loop. My leak tests are done with liquid as while a little more risky, for me it is far easier to identify the location of a leak. Once thing I always tend to do, possibly a little over the top, but anytime I add anything to the loop such as GPU etc, I tend to flush out the system with a Mayhems Blitz Kit to ensure a clean loop but more importantly to ensure everything in the new GPU block is "Dead" and clean before re-introducing coolant.
  16. Thanks for letting me know. :) Yeah battery life is subjective. I use my phone a good bit I reckon, I will run it down in a day, though it is also 3+ years old so I will see wear on tear on the battery as well.
  17. That is not actually a bad contender. Im coming from the Huawei P10 Pro, so not a bad upgrade path.
  18. He is certainly leading the way...if this was Pokémon...he has certainly caught them all !
  19. While there will be hardware/voltage limitation, I wonder if this will receive further optimization allowing for better clocking & under volting, time will tell.
  20. I think some of the performance loss for AMD will be down to A. New API and optimizations to be had B. This is AMD's first pop at RT, as such realistically we know it will not stand up to the Nvidia 3000 series.
  21. Interesting, although a little over my head to be honest. I have heard of mp3tag, would have to check though if it would have an issue with video based files. Furthermore if it cannot view and adjust multiple video files within folders, that would also be a shame as I do not really want to re-sort my entire library as that would take a painful amount of time lol.
