All I will say is that they launched the product at a time where economically speaking, people are in a worse position financially, at least here in the UK. Granted I consider this product a Halo product based on the price and this was already priced out of reach from most BUT financially we are worse off and I would not be surprised if that was another factor. Plus I still find Apple a more and more niche market as the years go on. With Apple overall not having the same appeal as they used to, some of the customers they once had that would have jumped on this, have since moved on. So in my opinion they have a smaller market to capitalize on. Just my view on it.

For budget reasons I have purchased with a couple of family members TCL units, I cannot recall the model numbers but for the price I was very impressed with the build quality, I/O and the OS layout and functionality (Google). For that reason I purchased a new TV yesterday to replace a dying one I have had to put up with for a while. Going from prior experience and the positive reviews, I picked up the TCL C805 50" for £569. After using the TCL units, I quickly had to ask what the bugger names offered, such as Samsung and Sony, and frankly they offered nothing above and beyond from the TCL units and the TCL units are kinder on the wallet.

I remember the good old days of Vent, those were simpler times lol.

Definitely. There are other companies out there that have been around for a good long time, generally speaking not the same large product range but a competitor to EK all the same. Fortunately we have a decent selection of companies to choose from even if EK went the way of the dodo. I have thus far not really had many quality issues with EK but hear about the downhill quality problems from others. My only issue was with a recent CPU Block purchase whereby the nickel plating had left blockages on the cold plate. It eas easily rectified...but that is not the point. I have not owned a single Corsair WC product so cannot comment on how good they are but so far as their product range, they have come on leaps and bounds.

For some, for sure, but for those who need a product and are only interested in getting what they need, EK will still have plenty of buyers.

As usual, great investigative work by GN. I personally do not bare any issues with EK, however the situation between them, their employees and suppliers is a complete mess based on this report. Not a good situation at all, fingers crossed the employees get what they are owed as soon as possible... without hours shaved.

That was a really interesting video. I knew there was a business relationship between Sega and Microsoft but didn't really consider the deeper relationship with respect to the hardware level. I would say that MS definitely built upon the Dreamcast foundations for the XBOX.

I wont comment on a good piece of software as I don't really delve into video making/encoding but one thing that would help to know is what GPU do you have? That can determine suitable hardware based on hardware acceleration support.

@Memmento Mori I spoke with the platform developers regarding the image that would keep appending itself to the end of your post. This is because that image was attached as an upload but not inserted into the topic. Any attachments by default, unless position by the user will automatically show at the end of the post. So all that was needed was to remove the image from the attachments area

I recall this being covered somewhere before, I think JayzTwoCents , not related to these issues but more so the fact that mobo partners blatantly skirting Intel specifications to get ahead in benchmarks etc but introducing blatant temperature related issues. So yeah, this is not ideal.

Dude, that is awesome. I love small mods like this that make a big difference. Sometimes the best things are the simplest. I love the looks as well, you did a great job designing it and the lighting in the dark is really effective. I do not own an Xbox, but can it tell you its internal temps so you can objectively say it is making a different ? I have no doubt it is as any improved airflow into the console is going to help.

Oh that is general Windows Explorer history, mixed with some search. You can clear Windows Explorer history with something like CCleaner

Even though you have now disabled it, it does not mean it will clear it. You have just stopped further syncing of history. Since disabling syncing, have you manually cleared your history? Once cleared, it should not return since you disabled Sync. It it does, could be a bug and the only workaround would be to disable/kill Edge and use another browser.
