  1. I have learned that building tired or in a rush is just not worth it for that exact reason lol
  2. I still own my HAF Stacker 915R, though not in use right now. My last tower case however was the Mastercase Pro 5. Awesome case for the time with stunning airflow. Easy to carry as well with the clever handle grips worked into the design.
  3. Not much of an update, we are still intending to run these benches on the 3090 but as many of you are aware, stock supplies have been an issue, even for review samples. Hopefully more news on this soon.
  4. For a 128Gb, that is not bad performance mate. Do you actually use that much or could you go down to 64gb and harness the additional performance in speeds ? Not sure if what you run is memory performance sensitive or just the fact you just need as much RAM as you can get.
  5. Small suggestion for those not familiar to command type interfaces like powershell, it may help readers if you highlight the variables that users need to change applicable to their systems in another colour. I find this can really help the uninitiated. Only a suggestion, don't feel like you need to
  6. Yeah AMD doesn't want to stop their momentum now. Book up all that 5nm to starve out Intel lol.
  7. It does not surprise me, they will have been focusing on Zen 4 as soon as Zen 3 architecture was completed.
  8. If it comes with anything less than 16GB then AMD already had my money. IMHO this generation we should not be dealing with 11GB cards, at least not on the higher end.
  9. WINNERS ! 10. Good to see the competition but if those 3080Ti specs to come to pass then this will be a tough call whether to go red or green. I was aiming for red with the 6900XT originally, but it will come down to cost vs performance at the end of the day.
  11. Oh nice ! These could work out to be handy for some of my admin related tasks in the future. Thanks for this.
  12. Better get that post count up over here :)..though I understand the dilemma.
  13. Nice one. I was fortunate to secure my 5950X on launch without using nefarious methods...tough though. All the e-tailer websites were being hammered. Was a case of refreshing and retrying on different sites until I could get one im my cart. Got disappointed a few times as some sites you could add it to you cart as it was "In Stock" but when you tried paying for it...it was no longer available haha. Im not sure when the next batch of stock hits the British shores. Checked a few sites but no ETA
  14. Welcome bud. Good to see you here, I certainly recognise that username :p. Congratulations on work and your current ventures, seems like things are going well. That 5900X will be a nice upgrade over your current CPU and will pair up nicely with your RAM. I am also considering going red for the GPU this round, looks like AMD may have pulled another Ryzen with the RDNA2, time will tell.
  15. You want something to last you during the upcoming tech transition period. Even when DDR5 and PCIe 6.0 tech is out, you will still have to wait out the techs immaturity as well as possibly prohibitive pricing.
  16. That is a good point actually. I forgot about memory interleaving ! Yeah clocks will only get you so far. Striving for a balance with timings is necessary, draw back is it can take time. I will have to re-do mine soon when new memory comes...semi excited and not at the same time
  17. Man don't get me started on running PC and fans. I was unfortunate enough to get my finger nicely cut up on some cheap fan...as it was cheap it had sharper edged fan blades. I suggest only jamming your finger into a premium fan lol.
