  1. Welcome bud ! Our current them is a placeholder. There will be a new theme with dark mode coming soon. Though there will only be one theme, other than dark mode there won't be other choices Thanks, E
  2. Bit late in closing this off but this giveaway is now closed. Winners to be announced tomorrow
  3. Ha, that sounds about as special as I was being then:P Wait...confusion. How did that screw up the HDD ?
  4. I would imagine you are 100% on the money. Video here from Hardware Unboxed saying the same thing.
  5. Nice, late 2020/2021 is going to be interesting, especially for AMD. I am building what will be my last DDR4/PCIe 4.0 Build, well I should say upgrading really. Have the 5950X secured, just now for the 6900XT. This will serve me nicely for a while. I won't upgrade again considering DDR5 is around the corner and the PCIe 6.0 specification is mostly done and has a scheduled release date of 2021, even though this can all change.
  6. Ahh right, no, this time there seems to be an uplift in performance by having 4 modules over two...free performance is always good eh.
  7. Well about a year ago I was messing with my WC reservoir when in my system and undrained. I was messing with the Heatkiller Res which has 4 outer struts (I actually cannot remember why I was) Me like an idiot to unscrewed the bolts which loosened the top cap and struts...not thinking at all. Luckily the pressure kept a seal but I could see the glass tube sitting on the O-ring at the bottom of the res clear as day, that was how far I got. I was like "OMG WTF AM I DOING". Very fortunately I managed to put it back together in situ without the coolant going everywhere in my PC. Beads if sweat running down my face honestly.
  8. Thus far there is an improvement in performance with Zen 3 BUT I don't think anyone has released a statement or video as to what within the new architecture allows this to happen.
  9. Prices are rampant at the moment, but there are always those that will pay a premium just to have it.
  10. Well it is certainly good news that headway is being made. 90% efficacy is rather good. Given time hopefully they can up that a little more.
  11. Yeah I saw the Gamers Nexus vid with respects to better performance with 4x modules over 2x. Very interesting. I run a 4x config now with the 3950X and will do for the 5950X, so it is nice to see that potentially just by going 5950X that you get an uplift in performance just by being in a 4x module configuration. Cannot complain there. Depending on time I may do a review on the 5950X with the 3950X being the underling, I may also do a 2x Module test vs 4x module with the 3950X at stock and do the same for the 5950X and compare.
  12. Yeah excluding VAT. Would be a happy man if that was total !
  13. Interesting and makes me feel good having 4 Dimm's haha. When I first started in I.T my much younger self (while wrong) assumed surely regardless of capacity that more modules would be better from a load balancing perspective, while this may not be the reason for Zen 3's behaviour here... My younger self feels vindicated lol
  14. Nice bud, good little powerhouse you have there !
  15. A deals section will return for sure, though while separate from the Marketplace I may see if I can incorporate it, If not then I will just make it standalone
  16. I am hoping this will be the mark of great silicon !
  17. I can also attest to the Heatkiller blocks, fantastic ! Managed to keep my 2990WX from going to mental in the heat department back when I had that system. I remember when I first got it and I was like WOAH heavy chunk of metal haha.
  18. If such a things were to take off whereby you could have a GPU agnostic system whereby it matters not what pair of GPU's you had in your system and the API can use either or both at anyone time then that would be interesting to see. The only issue I forsee is the driver co-existence between two different adapter types (Nvidia/AMD)
