  1. Wow, 8 days have passed already. Sister stayed at my place Saturday. She's getting better. She's still hobbling around and cannot drive. Has a lot of doctor visits, but she's going to be fine. Patsy and I have a date night tonight with my Mom & Step-Dad. She's in a wheelchair right now. She's working to get out of that. Her hand-writing and some other basic things are not as good as they used to be, but she's getting better. Brother-in-law might be losing to Cancer this time around, but we still have hope he'll beat it. Frequent transfusions just like my Wife's Grandmother right before she passed. So, overall, things are looking up. Just a lot at one time. Thanks for caring everyone! I have a 4 day weekend starting tomorrow. We finally were able to re-schedule my Dads Christmas. Doing that on Saturday.

Folding the hertz9753 24/7 in ETF still in his honor. I saw his Sister passed away recently. Had a blip this week with the shotty molnex daisy chain I had to do with the pump at the end. Pump shut off as I was checking all the PC's for the first time in 5 days. Had it not happened then, I think it would have killed the 960. It and the CPU were frying hott. 95 or so. I just took out the fans and plugged it in directly. Worked just fine after.

I started because I wanted that cool badge that Zodac was handing out over at OCN.  Had to have been like 2008 or so.  Got my badge, quit the folding.  I figure Stanford University has enough scientists and actual equipment on hand, they don't NEED my personal machines to run for them.  So I don't do it for that reason, although if you're into virtue signaling.....hey, I'm helping to find a cure for cancer and covid right?  🙃

Joined up here at EHW ONLY because @BWG kept bugging me on Steam to join the forum and fold to help grow the team here.  Finally, one day, he convinced me after several months of bugging me. 😛  Little did I know what I was signing up for here at EHW........

Now, I have my folding rig going 24/7 for the team.  It's not much, but its something.  Was able to guesstimate that a 290x would do better than a 580, and somehow it did.  So that helped me to climb the ranks a little bit I guess.  The only reason its still going is because I ❤️ each and every one of you here at EHW, and I want to see EHW grow and become what we all know forums can be.  A great place for learning, and a community of like minded people on the pursuit of performance and enjoyment.

@zodac? Who is 'Z'odac? 🙄 We love you too, man! Thank you for getting back into it.

I bugged so many people over my year to join and fold. I'd like to claim partial responsibility for the astronomical increase in folding production vs the only @axipher era .😉 I was very much looking forward to at least a 200% increase in pay in 2022 when @ENTERPRISEfinished out annual staff reviews. 200% of 0 = 0

But, I came on here to update what's going on in the other thread. Saw a few tags. I might as well spill the beans on the OP. I am off tomorrow through Monday. Much needed break.

I got into folding because of zodac. I thought it was a cute girl. (kidding) I believe it all started for me during a Chimp Challenge in 2011. Not too long after than, he was leaving, and I was one of 3 people picked to replace him, and I began Editing to collectively fill his shoes which we could never fill because he was a beast at tasking. I truly wonder what % of his life was dedicated to all of this during the time he was Editing because I never saw someone accomplish as much as him on a Forum. But, youth mixed with not a whole lot of responsibility = time. I remember around that time, or shortly after, was when axipher, sweffymo, jedixjarf, and amd_sli_guru edited. I still talk to all of those guys after all of these years. anubis1127 stepped in after retirement #1. We talk daily even if it's just me saying I got a Baconator this morning.

No matter what happens, I do try to stay in touch. Even if it's just inviting everyone to Steam Chat 1x annually. I still occasionally IRC in the #No! chan I passed onto scraps along with ss_patrick, blitz_6804, and a few other old names that I could never get to fold again.

One thing I will say to @damricand everyone else here. I was never a folding wiz. I was a people person. I am not the most inclined in software or coding, although I have dabbled. I am a decent overclocker. I've done some things that were pretty risky and cool (like the K5000 that's at 50% folding production yet benchmarks fine - never could figure that out - tried flashing, drivers, clean installs etc.) You don't have to be a folding wiz to lead a team. You can learn to be, or at least study what you can. There were groups of people in the past that zodac organized who were gurus. Strong coding skills. Understanding how folding functions. Things like that. Folding Focus Group. cptasian, tictoc, axipher, and probably the most up to speed person right now would be firedfly, in my opinion. You can learn a lot on the folding forum for f@h. Also, they have a Discord Server.

They are still doing it.  They recently added restrictions on what cards you can step up to based on your original card.  There's also a queue involved since they don't have enough stock to fulfill all requests.  It only took me about 2 weeks to get notified I could do my step-up.  I think it took @BWG about 9 months to step up to a 3090.

Nah, it was about 2 months. Not too terrible.

  4. Thanks guys. I don't know how much I can thank you all for support all around. I'm still in ETF, still will FAT, but my time reading will be greatly reduced.

Many very fond memories and will be continued in due time. I reached out to some people today on my lunch break. Other than 1 etf participant I nudged today that will be back up soon, everyone is posting production every day. Foldaholics needs some folders still. If you know of anyone, that would be great. We've only had 1 hardware swap mtd, so it hasn't been much of a bother.

My Wife, Kids, and I are fine. We did all end up with covid last month, finally, but it really wasn't too bad. It's my Mother, Step-Mother, Brother-in-Law, and Sister that haven't been doing well. My Mom was released on Sunday, and my Sister on Tuesday. Extended stays, admission October for Mom, and December for my Sister. I had told a few people. It's been so heavy on me for a while barely seeing neither due to covid restrictions. I could only visit in person during rehab. Will we ever get back to normal?

If I get an evening soon to myself, you might see me try and do some HWBOT.

I'll try to drop by here once a week to read and let you know how things are going and see what's in here.

  5. Well, it's been a fun year of doing what I could to help out, but I'm calling it quits for a final time. With life dealing a lot of challenges to me going forward, I'll be unable to designate any time to this forum, and I've requested account deletion. I do not want to participate in any web forums going forward, and I'm going to need all of my time to care for my family, and my sick Mother & Sister. Thank you for the good memories. I hope you all continue to support Enterprise and EHW going forward.

You're all about to be overrun by 1D10T5.

Joe should pop his 5th unit soon and Michele finally requalified for the quick return bonus a couple days ago.

Yeah, @firedflyalerted me to him passing us, and I was like you better pray damric don't drop a unit the last day! 😛 This end of month is pretty whoaa!!!!

  7. I think the scalpers are snagging all of the EVGA 2x 6+2 pci-e cables too. $6 on EVGA and $15 on newegg/ebay lol. I subbed, got a notify, gone, subbed, got a notify, tried to buy 6, failed, bought the last 4 for the 1600w P2 since it came with 6+2 and 6 dual pci-e cables.

That's linux though right? I'm in Windows 10 Pro

Yeah, mine sucks on Windows which one of them are on it right now because I need to remove the AMD driver off that Ubuntu to get it to work again.

It was bouncing around 100-109% power with the shunt mod. So over 400 watts lol. Luckily ambient temps are pretty low in my basement and I have the flow and rad space for it. Temps sit around 35c on that WU and around 30-31 for the lighter load ones.

    Beat this...

I know I hit 10 mill on mine in Linux, but maybe I should try Windows to see where I'm at for you to compare to. I have one in a 16x 4.0 slot on a bench.

Yup this is what I hook up to my custom loop from the chiller side. Hot loop on one side cold on the other as as you know it's pretty effective. Of course it is a beast @ 60 plates, so much more surface area than this one you posted here.
