  1. You guys have fun up there, I just want to beat @tictoc What do we need to do to get more OCN people active for this?
  2. Oh I'm sure it involves extracting the bios, hitting it with the editor, and then flashing it.?
  3. I think tictoc already had that run through his mind when he asked me if he should be folding at stock. lol
  4. Cool, Damric got one into verify he's working!
  5. Yep, everything we ever do will have all sorts of issues, but I think the issues above a far less vs the old way we used to run the event where your m40 would be against gpu's it stood no chance at all of beating, and the gap in points was insurmountable. For the people who used to compete in the old TC, this system is so refreshing! I will say this though, every piece of hardware I have folding is overclocked and is beating the LARS DB by a good amount. It's a decently wide range, 9xx, 1xxx and 3xxx. Yeah, your Tesla's not going to be great since it can't OC easily, but you are competitive against a 2080ti right now, and the points are so very close between the teams.
  6. Here's my notes. @Avacado Looks like the PPD estimates change on LARS, so that's another wrench in the plan. Edit: We'll likely do a quarterly lock on LARS. I'll end up grabbing a copy of the page, posting it, and then doing the math before the event starts a month. Adjust all of the multipliers for everyone. Lock it in for 3 months. Redo after 3rd month. Repeat. I'm going to take the existing stats, plug in some new multipliers for basing everything on a 3090, and then show everyone the difference between existing, basing each categories multipliers on the top card actively folding in the category, vs everything being based on the 3090. We will discuss with the Team Captains, and then decide which method to use.
  7. Edit: I'll outline the math later today.
  8. Hey, this is the page we use: https://folding.lar.systems/gpu_ppd/overall_ranks
  9. We ask for the O/S, and use the PPD estimate for the O/S the user is folding on specifically. That change was made because of you saying that a while back.
  10. Let's run this for a bit more. But, for everyone else, we have the multipliers setup to the best hardware folding in the category and per each category. What's being considered is to base all point multipliers off the 3090 for the whole event. So, give us your thoughts on that everyone. It allows a static multiplier for each piece of hardware that could be automated down the line.
  11. There has been a Lead Change! FPN takes #1 from Foldaholics on the last update.
  12. Just a little update, been pretty stagnant with users coming to me to join teams that I ping'd earlier in the thread, but we honestly have enough to really see the demo working and the formulas. Could use some ready folders for u3berg33k's team, and he doesn't care if it's Full Auto or something new. He's a consistent folder. Would be a good team. Kobalt has not replied yet. We might need a few more team captain volunteers. Ideally, this event will go live on June 1st!
  13. I reminded @axipherthis morning. He confirmed. Should work. If not, it's Canada's fault again.
  14. You guys should be 2 folders strong soon, but zonalo's going to need a little bit of time to get to his rig. He will be unable to for a very good reason, and since it's more or less a demo/test, I didn't really want to give his spot to someone else. However, if damric is going to fold the hd7850, then wildcard is available, and if you want to, I can have you fill 2 spots if you want to @Supercrumpet while we await zonalo's return. Just need another GPU and an isolated passkey.
  15. I use this page. It's in The ETF Manual. If it still doesn't make sense, let me know. It's going to be interesting to see how this all shakes out. Another huge part of the demo. Sorry, this page actually is the one you need. I really need to know when you all see issues, and down time if you could. It will give us all a look at how this points system will look going forward. It's still way better than not having any adjustments the way we used to run it. I agree though, if you cannot oc, it might hurt you a bit, so it's something you can play around with when evaluating the hardware you have. Me for example, I'm watching my HFM Logs for all of my cards I constantly fold for 24 hours. Gives me data to see which card could be the most competitive. I'm certain adjustments could be made down the line too. All I know is this last reset and a series of clock increases has me finally ahead of @axipher Also, we have a wide variety of hardware between 2 full teams, and the points are almost dead even, so I do believe it's looking promising.
  16. Yep, demo to test functionality. Take your time, we have 2 teams, but the stats will be reset a few times too to even it back out.
  17. Yeah, I just forgot to give him the info after you switched hardware. We'll get you put in for when you're back up.
  18. Currently, it depends on the top card folding in the category. He's in nVidia against you, and I'm in Wildcard against Axipher. The Windows points base line on LARS for your card is divided by the Linux points baseline on LARS for his 960 which = the multiplier.
  19. Likely the team # since there's a wu count but no points. Should be fixed when he switches for EHW FAT.
