  1. yup, and that's one of the reasons they refunded me. That said, I did say tech purchases, usually major items. In other words, I still look to eBay for more cowbell
  2. ^Couldn't say, didn't leave it unboxed very long. Just long enough to photograph it for return/refund purposes. When I initially queried the seller about his "new other" status upon seeing the delivered item, well: I try to avoid making tech purchases on ebay as much as possible these days, and even Amazon given the amount of fake stuff being sold there by third party sellers.
  3. Sometimes it happens before the when they ship stuff step... the listing for the attached images were supposed to be a new, other W-3175X cpu. Went through hoops, eventually got my ~$2,000 back. Settled on a different open box W3265.
  4. Ha! Fixed that title for you: Researchers develop an injectable, microscopic chip to manipulate psychological state Comes with Free GPS Tracking!

^I'll second that. Been saving mine for a rainy day (or a new truck)...
  6. Only if you're a seeker into the Firesign Theatre school of thought.

  8. ...that doesn't necessarily make it right though Me, I'll be taking the scruples I've developed during the course of my somewhat longer life time to the grave with me. They're also among my primary reasons behind a lot of the stuff I put together and share online these days (e.g., the satirical stuff). I also do so like to make people laugh and have to admit I enjoy an audience. (though I'm sure I'd be doing something else if there wasn't one) Anyway, like I said, I appreciate your rationale for the purchase. It's a sure bet you'll make excellent use of the case
  9. Neat! did you get a good deal on it? I avoid TT myself simply because of what happened between them and CaseLabs way back when. I do appreciate what's likely your rationale for picking up the case though. As for dremeling a case or anything else for that matter, I'm with you. Heck, I've been known to manhandle stuff with a jigsaw and hammer drill (still have an old BQ 900 Pro that I use as and end table to stack stuff on).
  10. For my display project: gotta love trolls and their fellow brethren.

  12. bant coz this thread obviously needs some help. when you find the dogs, butt...
  13. Yeah, I've got those as well, but don't really use them anymore simply because they tend to loosen up and eventually fall off what they're mounted to if their adhesive backings are subpar/aren't high strength (e.g., equivalent to something like 3M LSE300 specs). Proper surface prep is considered in that statement.
  14. I like it, definitely well made As for keeping things neat cable wise, there are ways that can be done using the extrusions as guides. For instance, 80/20 sells cable tie mounts you can easily slip into t-slots in a cinch. They also sell t-slot covers which can be useful for hiding longer stretches of one or two wires (e.g., from a tmp monitoring device like those sold by Aquacomputer and others), depending on the wire gauge and extrusion t-slot size. Might not be as pretty as your typical hidden routing areas and grommet holes, but you can certainly make things look organized.
  15. weatherby's got the polar bears covered. it's the tuunbaq i'd be worried about living that far north...
  16. I'd like that. I'd be able to get patat met pindasaus again. oh, and real drop.
  17. Only if you're down under where the toilets like to flush backwards.
  18. that'd work too. hey, there's an echo echo echo in in in here here here.
  19. A good song to get more cowbell to.
