Do we need to also sign up on the [H] forum or just here?

No need to sign up over there.  I signed the team up and the competition is between teams instead of individuals.  We'll be keeping our team's individual stats as usual during this.

I'm not sure how they'll be posting updates during the competition, but I'll attempt to replicate that information here.

So since I'm an idiot and on a lot of prescription drugs atm, I am trying to figure out when this foldathon starts and ends for me. So I can add it to my calendar.

Is it only a 2 day foldathon or 3 day?

I'm in UTC -6 so I know it starts for me Thursday, December 21st at 6pm my time. But I'm so confused on when it will end, will it be the 23rd at 6pm?

It is confusing.  It says 2 days in some spots and 3 days in others 🤦‍♂️.  This is a 3-day (72 hour) foldathon.  I'll update the OP to clarify the times.

    Thanks for asking for clarification!

    ----

EDIT:  I've updated the OP.  Let me know if there is still confusion.  @neurotix For you, the competition would end on Dec 24 at 6pm.

So I just switched a few rigs back over to EHW from LTT. Was checking the stats and realized I finally hit a few milestones. top 1k, and over 3 billion points. After our event I plan to swap back to LTT to finish out their month of folding challenge. Then I'll be back to EHW full time.

I decided to just switch my stuff back to EHW.  I might change my mind if I see you passing me in their comp, though!

Also, a friendly reminder that our competition begins in a little less than 6 hours!

Mind the EVENT START TIMER as it is UTC time zone.

Note: Stats are updated as soon as possible, but less frequent than desired. Just keep folding!

Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you).

Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding.

    Thank you for your participation!

  6. I would keep the CPU in the socket to protect the pins while you are installing the socket cover.  With the retention bracket up, you should be able to attach the socket cover to the bracket.

This youtube video looks helpful if you want to see the full process of installing the CPU.  For your purposes, it might be helpful to see how the socket cover comes preinstalled (e.g. orientation).

  7. Latest Release: 0.2.1

The ExtremeHW (EHW) Validation Tool is a program that consolidates required applications (CPUz, GPUz) for Hwbot screenshot verification. The purpose of this software is twofold: To reduce the time requirement of opening validation programs and to consolidate the opened windows neatly on the desktop. The official GitHub project is HERE. The current GUI consists of four sections explained below.

    image.png.6e020c272583fa5946e85fa8f58efb29.png

    Settings:

The first and second boxes include the path specifications to the CPU-z and GPU-z applications on your computer. They are set to the default path location, but can be changed using the "Browse" buttons. The third box is where you type your Hwbot username. The fourth box is where you type your Hwbot team. Your username and team name will appear in a white box when opening the 2D or 3D buttons. Not populating the username and team name boxes will leave the displayed white box empty on your desktop (Except for the EHW application text).

image.png.7474263bed6648b27febda074b12fb3f.png *Displayed username and team when the application is open on the desktop.*

    2D/3D Benchmarks:

There are buttons for either 2D or 3D benchmarks. They are further broken down by where they will be displayed on your desktop (Left or Right sides). Clicking the 2D benchmark button will open three CPU-z windows that automatically sets the CPU, Mainboard and Memory tabs. The CPU-z windows will be aligned together at the bottom of the desktop on whichever side you chose. Clicking the 3D option will do the same as the 2D option while adding a GPU-z main tab window.

    Screenshot:

This program can take a screenshot and automatically save it to your computer by clicking the “Take Screenshot” button. The Validation tool may remain on top as it is NOT included within the screenshot. The captured image will be an entire desktop shot and be stored to a user specified location. The validation tool will remember the last chosen path for saving images for subsequent screenshots.

    image.thumb.png.ff514e3d9bc5ec712f5b7f9278f3c46b.png

    Closing the Tool:

Clicking the "Close Tools" button will close all open windows except for the EHW Validation tool itself.  Tools will also be automatically closed when the EHW Validation Tool is closed.

    image.png.6c4af561d89576c3ef0944a1a780d40e.png

    Notes:

    • Administrator access is required in order to launch CPU-Z and GPU-Z with administrator privileges.
    • This application does not support more than one GPU-z window.
    • The CPU-z auto selection tabs are NOT changeable.
    • High DPI or large monitors may have issues auto-arranging the tools or when taking screenshots

Understood. Any luck with those stats yet?

For your prize, it would go to @keeph8n.  If you want to go ahead and contact him to get that shipped, that would be great.

As for the final stats and the random draw on tubing, we aren't quite finished yet.  I hope to have this done in the next 24 hours.

Look's like FiredFly is it; but let me know when you guys definitely firm up who the winner and I'll put the order in for their prize.

If it's FF, I already have his contact details.

I have to opt out of any prizes.  Since I ran the stats this time (and am now staff), it doesn't seem right to be eligible for prizes.

Thanks for your prize contribution, though!  We'll let you know once the stats are final.

  10. I have that gigabyte z790 aorus master board in my unraid file server with a 13700k.  The only issue I ran into was the xmp memory profile wouldn't work with two kits of ram installed (4x16gb).  I believe that's common with multiple kits, though.  Since I don't need fast ram in this system, I'm just running with whatever slow speeds it defaulted to.

I picked that board as it was the cheapest with a built-in 10Gb NIC.

Hey, has axipher managed to fix the issue with the scorecard or no?

Really excited, about a day before it starts. 😊

As far as I'm aware, he has not.  However, we have a backup plan.

We'll be using the site below to keep track of the stats for this foldathon.  Once the competition starts, the stats should be updated every 5 minutes.

A single 4090 will put out 16-32mil ppd.  Varies greatly with the projects being folded.
