  1. If you don't have any issues, then you don't need to run it manually. It will run on its own after every 2000 hours (IIRC) of accumulated usage. I've got a 55" C9. I ran the refresh manually just once to clear up some image retention. Otherwise I have let it handle the refresh automatically.
  2. Absolutely nuts. I respect their reasons for ending the partnership, but a lot of things they said don't make sense. No new partnership with AMD or Intel, so no more GPUs period. No layoffs? How is that going to be sustainable? A lot of people would end up with no more work to do, but they would still be paid? It seems like they just expect people to quit. It doesn't seem like there is any plan to expand to other product areas, so they are just going to take a massive loss in revenue without a long-term plan to recover it in other sectors. I imagine a lot of current customers will be wary about buying any of their other products. They may feel that the service and product quality will be compromised. Even if this sentiment is unfounded, it's an understandable concern.
  3. Agreed. I've got hundreds of BDs/DVDs/CDs/records. If I'm likely to watch/listen to something more than once, I'll get the physical release. Not only is the quality better, but you're not at the mercy of a streaming service's license volatility. Many times I've gone to watch something on a stream only to find that it's been removed from my watch list and no longer available.
  4. Welcome, Colorous! That's why I use ISO 8601 format. It's unambiguous and just makes sense. From left to right dates are most significant to least significant, just like how we already write time: YYYY-MM-DD
  5. Time for a fresh start. I just moved over here from OCN (former username valvehead). I held out for a while, but it was time to move on. I'm starting over with a new name and passkey. Probably won't be pumping out massive amounts of units, but I'll do what I can.
  6. Hello! I was valvehead on OCN. Also folded for team 37726 for over 10 years. It looks like that team (as well as the forum) is essentially dead, so here I am!
