Motherboard Shipments Drop by Ten Million Units in 2022
WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM
The PC industry has been hit hard by the current market conditions and economic downturns, as the entire industry has seen sales of new PCs drop to new lows. Equally so, the PC motherboard makers have...Having each year a new product by Design/socket/performance/ect.. An "created" need and an not sustainable growth each year ends up in a fall sooner or later... Do you think that the prices will go down in general? Or will we see a slow down in the update cycles?

I bought some custom feet for my s8 cases from MNPC a few years back. For an s8 with a pedestal these are perfect.
Grooved PC Case Feet, Large ATX EATX

Mnpctech's "Grooved" Desktop Custom PC Case feet are CNC Machined from 6061 Aluminum. Great for Computer cases that are...I have one set of these and a set of smooth ones that they don't seem to have listed anymore.
Anyhow, these case feet are not cheap. But at the same time they are not cheap.
Your builds are sweet. Can't wait to see what you do with these cases.

These custom made anti-vibration isolation feet for the Technics SL1200, SL1210, SL1200 G, SL-1200 GR, SL1200 GAE, and SL2010 GR...yes this is the basically the style im trying to find but the prices are incredible.. Mainly if it is from the audiophile corner
Will try to find a handy man with the machine to make it from solid Aluminum or copper billets - making them a bit customized.... Lets see. If im successful ill report back the outcome

Thank you very much.. kinda feel like a walking disaster

Hello there...
As i like to try some ridiculous things and im always thinking about optimizing the AF in my case so one day i came up with an idea of changing the flow of my bottom and top intake fans in a way it will be more in harmony to the front to back direction. And so before i just asked my friend to print me something i decided to make an POC just for the bottom fans.
OFC my aim was to gem more air to the GPU, and i have to say it worked not bad... I saw rly a 4 degree decline at the GPU hotspot... So i decided to get some proper "straighteners" and got them printed....
Well Printed version is a bit a different shape but not looking bad at all:
Finally mounted in the case it looks in my opinion not bad at all. A bit "SteamPunkLike"
Well now lets talk about some numbers and test scenarios...
System Specification:
MOBO: MSI Z490 Godlike
CPU: i9-10900K @ 4.9Ghz
GPU: XFX Radeon 6900 XT - Merc 319 a bit underwolt and a bit OC
DIMMS: G Skill GTRS 3200 CL14 @ 4100 CL 15-15-15-30 T2
Case: Caselabs SM8
CPU Cooler: Thermalright FC140
Front Fans: 3x 140mm Be Quiet Silent wings 3
All other case fans are Thermalright TL-C12 Pro
For stress testing i chose to fold for 20 min on my CPU with 10 threads and as well with the GPU. At least the energy will not go totally waste
And here are some scenarios and results:
Scenario NR.1 - was the traditional front to back airflow, so i just turned off the intakes upper and bottom and tested:
CPU package MAX: 71 C
GPU Hotspot MAX: 68 C
DIMMS MAX: 36.3 C
Scenario NR.2 - was with the intakes upper and bottom as well on:
CPU package MAX: 70 C
GPU Hotspot MAX: 65 C
DIMMS MAX: 35.5 C
Scenario NR.3 - was the paper POC
CPU package MAX: 72 C
GPU Hotspot MAX: 66 C
DIMMS MAX: 35.8 C
Scenario NR.4 - is the final way i wanted to test - with the "straighteners" installed on the top and bottom intake fans..
CPU package MAX: 73 C
GPU Hotspot MAX: 66 C
DIMMS MAX: 33.8 C
I will for sure take some more time to try to play around with the fan speeds if I will see any improvement or not.
If you have any advice or idea how to get better temps or optimizing the Airflow in this case I'm open to anything. One thing is for me atm not workable and to make it custom WC and as well AIO are not my thing.. Air-cooled is the way i want to go for now....
So please to all Air-cooled Gods and Daemons out there - feel free to take part...

oK, got it. and yes sounds good to me.
And your as well right about the definition at it self... Its a moving navbar not static one...
-
Just to make it easier to follow i will comment into your "Quote":
51 minutes ago, ENTERPRISE said:If we were to go in this direction I would envisage this being a site configurable option. - sounds good, this way everyone can customize its own prefferences and view .. Tumbs up!
I would envisage a moving Nav Bar as below: - i doo understand and yes exactly what i wanted. But it will be static /fixed right? Not like the "hiding" taskbar at windows right? Bcs it would be ok for PC interface but kind of annoying on the mobile phone / tablet interface..
Operationally I would imagine it functioning as below: - just pure curiosity - what interface you mean PC or mobile/tablet? I think it could work as well good for PC not just mobile..
Now is the Question if the "FOLKS" wants it or not ... exept for you and pioneerisloud it seems like not rly a hot topic to others
Anyway, Im rly appreciate your considering this
-
Ok thats gooood, now we juts need to know if ppl want it or im alone in this
-
yes that would be the idea..

Hi Guys,
hope its not something already discussed... at least i didn't see a mention about it...
would be nice to have a "Static" site header which will not disappear when scrolling down. Would be handy mainly for the mobile phone browsing..
Pros i see:
- you have an "home" button (by clicking the logo)
- your seeing your notifications all time
- can browse the categories even your at the end of an conversation
- makes it easier to navigate even your in a conversation
Cons i see:
- will take a bit of the screen (but could be handled by "minimalizing" it?)
What you thing about it?

lets hope for the best regarding the new start of Caselabs. Just checked ebay and im amazed that there rly is not much to see or to buy
Having an SM8 and just bought 4 years ago some spare part from an Romanian seller for crazy money. But happy i did bcs in europe is the chance almost 0 to find anything…
Would be nice to have an XL side pannel with tempered glass…
And can someone recomend me an alternative to the case stands? Please let me know if you ise the standsrd ones or replaced them.. if so, replaced by what?
BTW - would be nice if someone from the oficial staff would invite Emil (M-oll) over here
-
Hello E.,
thank you for taking my thoughts in to consideration
And yes thought so that the point 3 & 4 would be points which are hard to change... Anyway hope for the best and keep up the good work

Thank you for your suggestions!
#1 - I think you are trying to say that the landing page for the store does not currently make it easy to see all available options. They are there as you can see in the picture below, but I can understand maybe making those clearer on the landing page instead of purely by links to the subsequent pages. @ENTERPRISE
#2 - I believe that the "One Off Donations" is there for values less than $10 monthly. I do not know the threshold for it to be viable for say a $5 monthly recurring donation.
As for #3 & #4, I am sure I can't answer these, but maybe Enterprise can.
Thanks for taking the time to make us aware of this!
Thanks for the reply
So here some clarification:
#1 - If you click the TAB "Store" or subTAB "Recurring Donations" - you always land in the Store page ( Home/Store)
And here you see again a TAB Store and the section "Popular With Other Customers". My advice would be, to land directly in the EHW Donations (Recurring Donation) page - (Home/Store/EHW Donations (Recurring Donation)). Basically get rid of one extra step...In my view its confusing and not necessary..
#2 - NO - meant something different. - in the "EHW Donations (Recurring Donation" you have just the options 10USD, 25USD, 50USD, 100USD. My recommendation would be to add a custom option where you can decide to donate monthly a random amount of your liking..... for example 15 USD, 69 USD, 66 USD . You can have a limiter there - defined minimum of for example 10 USD so nobody can misuse it for lower donations.. - im just missing this option....
#3&4 - if they are unclear just let me know...
Sorry for my unclear way of describing the things

Dear Gents,
it seems that it was not discussed yet, so here is my experience with the "Donation" section or "Store" section if you want.
First of all when you open the store section you completely miss the "Store" at it self - you focus on the "Popular With Other Customers" section and think these are the options... At least this was my experience.. After some clicking i finally came to the store..
Suggestion Nr. 1: - if you click store, then port me directly there with all the options and bellow that shot the "Popular With Other Customers" options....
Next regarding the options in the store - i get the amounts listed there - the steps make sense and i rly appreciate the possibility to pay in different currencies... And was also amazed about the possibility of a custom donation. And here it comes there is no - its a filter..
Suggestion N. 2: - make 1 more button for custom payments as well for monthly based donations.... I get that it makes no sense to get a donation of 1 USD - for this reason make it a min. of 10 USD for example but give ppl the possibility to donate how much they want also on a monthly base. Opens your possibilities as well and i thing it will not cost you anything... And the option is there for a One-Off- Donation..
And the final experience was the payment with a credit card. In the first once you get in the basket any option you get to check out and put there your card credentials and press pay. The following screen where it confirm the payment takes so long that I told my self ok its broken and closed the window. Went back to the shop did the same – checkout and was thinking of changing the amount I want to donate… Kept the side open and opened the shop in a new Tab.. Took some time and went back to the original tab and checked out.. Same thing happened, looong loading time and finally the confirmation screen were loaded. Anyway went to the orders and found myself with 4 order (as my journey of misfortune was longer then described) where I cancelled now 2 of them and 2 are waiting for payment validation.
Suggestion Nr.3 – not sure if you can do anything about it but make it faster the confirmation after the payment
Suggestion Nr.4 – not sure but can you somehow prolong the basket validity? Not sure if there is any “automated clearance” of it or not. If so please prolong it..
Please dont take this in a bad way.. I rly do appreciate what your doing here - just thought it could be helpful for you to know about it.
If you have any questions or i wrote something not clear (as im a chaotic person and i know about it) just let me know
Have a nice day
MM

It will heat up and stay warm for a long time, it won't dissipate the thermal energy to the surrounding air fast enough.
Maybe useful if you've got cold feet, take it with you in bed to keep you warmInstead I'd machine a nice big hole from the top to the bottom through that copper bar and make it into an LN2 pot
Would be an LN2 Copper pot making a difference? for sure you could argue its "massive"

4 kg Literal Hunk of Copper Cools a Core i9 Processor
WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM
An 8 lbs (roughly 4 kg) solid cylinder made of copper was used as a fanless heatsink to cool an Intel Core i9 processor. This isn't a heatsink in that it's made of extruded copper, but a literal hunk of copper that...And I was bothering my self with "air flow" ....
