Control, not half bad !

Hey guys,

 

Who here has delved into Control ? I have to say it is a game that has really kept me wanting to play, seems to have been a while since I found a game do that for me. Fantastic game play and mechanics. I love the paranormal and mysterious elements, really takes it to a new level. What I will say is that the game kind of throws you in at the deep end, no gentle introduction here! But persevere with it and all becomes much clearer. I must admit, at first I was like ''WTH is going on'' lol

 

As for graphics, they are fantastic in their own right and the physics I certainly cannot complain about. Those who own an RTX card, this game makes proper use of not only the Ray Tracing elements but finally you see DLSS shine. I know this game is on Console, but in reality this is a PC only game if you want to really experience it at its best, but lets be honest, we can say that about most games right

 

Remedy have certainly done well, but I expect no less from those who created Max Payne (yes another series I love).

That does look like a really good game. Too bad it's only on Epic Store until August 2020. I already have Steam, Battle.net, Origin and uPlay (I'm not going to count Microsoft Store as it's part of Windows 10). I don't really want to download another game launcher.

I felt that way once, but realized you just kind of have to bite the bullet on some of these platforms. In all honesty I have accounts with the majority of the platforms simply due to getting free games with hardware purchases which I am sure as hell going to redeem lol. Even so, if there was a game I was looking forward to playing and was only on one platform for the moment, I would just get on that platform. Lets face it, you only have to install the launchers the once every Windows install, it is a pain at first but when its done it is done.

Well I just completed it, I have to say I was super impressed. Was great that it all come together in the end as the storyline is one of those when you fully understand what started the mess. I would imagine they will make a second, their is certainly scope to do so.

 

I was pleasantly delighted that on one of the levels (Wont say which to avoid spoilers) that it starts rocking out Take Control by Old Gods of Asgard

(sighs) So many launchers, so many free games... Origin,Epic,GOG,Uplay,battle.net(when Bungie was tied to them),Steam I have games I've gotten free with purchases on all these and I'm with Enterprise,the little space the launcher yakes up is worth the game. Epic has new free games all the time. maybe not top line,but still free and U can keep them in the library on your acct untill U decide to install. when I bought my gtx970,I got Witcher3 on GOG and Batman Arkham Knight on Steam both free with the purchase.(1 from MSI & 1 from Nvidia) When I built the NEW system I got Anthem & it's on Origin.Edit: Here's my library on Epic. remember,. I haven't PAID for any of these.The batman games & The lego batman's were free to celebrate the anniversary of the series just for an example

While it is a pain to have all these launchers, which does lead to a fragmented library and logins, you cannot complain about the free games. I have claimed on so many games that have come as a promo with hardware that I have all the game launchers going lol...but it does give me a free game so it is a decent trade off ! I still need to play Anthem (one of the games I got with my 2080Ti)

Oh nice ! Will check it out, not a huge assasins creed fan but im sure I will find something haha!

I definitely plan to pick this up when I build a new rig. I did enjoy Quantum Break (more the sci-fi elements than the gameplay though). Control looks great.

I think you will love it if you were into Quantum Break, loved that game !
