Anyone with a Samsung S22 Ultra?

Looking to sell my m51 to upgrade to this one. Mainly for the camera.

 

How the battery life if you reduce the refresh rate?

 

How the software ?

i went from a note10+ to it, i cant really tell a difference.

Well my 400$ cad Samsung m51 with developer option ANIMATION disabled run probably faster than all those phone. Hardware is overpowered these days and people think there phone is slow when my 3 years phone open facebook faster than their new phone just because the UI is less bloated than flagship for some reason.

Android optimisation is key. Meanwhile 3g will be shutdown soon in the usa and after canada.

 

Kinda exhausting that you have to pay 2 grand for an upgrade. My m51 as like 10-18h screen on time meanwhile the s22 ultra 7-8h i think.

 

I just want LTE and 5G and a better Camera but not alot of option here in canada.

Just ordered it. Note10+ and or s20 fe seemed like good option but since the s22 ultra will have support for 4 years i think it will be worth it

I replaced my S9+ with the S22 Ultra as I wanted a Note. I don't lower my refresh at all, battery life has been fine. Easily goes all day on a full charge, less so if you are watching movies all day on it or something like that. Really depends on your use case. Software seems good.

 

I mainly got it because I wanted a Note, and I definitely use my S-Pen.

I use my s-pen daily, also, the S22 ultra, is only marginally better than the note10+. better camera (not in my opinion, you have to hold camera still longer or it gets blurry photos (same settings as old phone)

 

It took me alot of research and days thinking about it, and I almost regret it. I basically lost micro SD, MST(big one), and I like the index finger volume controls.

 

 

 

but, my dad was on a note 4, so I gave it to him.

It good to know that it seem to run fine for both of you. I will for sure lower refresh rate if i can in the setting am all in for battery life. But these days i use my phone as a MODEM at work so it not really an issue and i carry a power bank and many charger.

 

For the pen i need to use it to see if i like that. No idea. I take a lot of note with Keep but never tried the pen. Could be great

Yeah, I use my headphone jack, so a headphone to USB-C adapter was one of my first purchases. I've never used my SD slots, so wasn't a big deal, but I don't like losing features that could be useful like that. I don't take lots of pics, so camera didn't play at all into my decision.

Keep in mind that the adaptive refresh rate can go very low when not in heavy use...though I think the claimed 1hz marketed is pretty much BS last I heard. Still, can go low like I think 10 or 24Hz or something like that.

 

Yeah the S-Pen and phone in general is great for some simple note taking. I use it to remind me of things as I can be forgetful (like remembering something at the store), or for writing down a small checklist, or maybe jotting down a couple movies my friends said I should watch, etc. You can also do some gestures with it, like using the button on the pen to click the camera, etc.

I heard good thing about that refresh rate feature  

The pen will probably help me out with me crappy memory too! I always forget my Keep note since i write them so fast. But with the pen there something different to it.

Thinking about the Otterbox but it damn overpriced.  80$ CAD

 

I miss the Balistic Case with the big rubber corner.

i have an S21 ultra, go for that and leave the S22 on the shelf. theres zero difference between the two phones that youll notice in daily use. also if remember right last i looked, the S21 ultra has gotten cheaper

Il check into this. I know the s20 fe is ways cheap mer currently.
