First of all, please speak for yourself. I do enjoy looking at those numbers, which you might know, and maybe others too.
I understand that posts like that may sound like bragging, but he can be proud of what he's building and I'm proud for him. Same as I really enjoyed your Tesla adventure! (or everyone's builds for that matter)
For me Folding at home always has two sides, the competition and the research. That's why I have a lot of hardware too, and if I could there would be a few more cards just like he has.
Hopefully everything is well, cause I really don't know you like this.

And if @BWG wants to win he's got 2.5 billion points to go 😂

I doubt I'll ever catch up with either of you, but it all at least looks cool, right?

To be fair, I put a smiley face at the end. My favorite past time is messing with BWG. It kinda hurts my feelings to hear you say you don't know me anymore after one Snyde bwg comment. Of course I'm proud of him and genuinely was concerned at the same time before he explained his situation.

I know you like messing with him, but that post made us feel pretty bad which might not have been your intentions but that's sometimes the problem on the internet.
My reply was never meant to hurt your feelings, on the contrary, I was trying to understand why you posted that and if there is something going on. (hence the "friendly voice")

And you are right that it's a little concerning how much hardware BWG has, I made sure he knows what I think of what he's doing and that I am going to steal his HydroCopper card 🙂

On the official F@H stats site, is it now only possible to generate and receive WU certificates, and no points certificates? I noticed before the rework, the points certificate button would also generate a WU certificate, but I assumed it was a bug. Now there's only one "Award" button, and it's for WUs, so that's my assumption.

Really doesn't matter at the end of the day, but it's something I was curious about and I liked my points awards because I'm a weirdo like that.

Does anyone have set of the certificates and know of a good PHP image generation tool.  I can always pipe one in to my stats site that could work for that.

Copy the link and paste it in a new window. Remove the "&type=score" and you have a link for your points.
Just like this one, but add your user number:

@BWG Those 3 hour updates are re-tarded good. You have done a great job getting a serious folding lab going.  Me and Bastiaan used to dream of 5 million updates.

Honestly, I kinda owe it to @firedflybecause he tipped me off to the right enthusiast board to support 6 full speed pci-e slots all at 4.0 for the future. Going to just keep going. I have 2 more 3080tis under a minute in queue along with a 3090 and a couple 3070tis. 1 more gpu needed, and then every one after that replaces an old card.

Nice work.  Having a proper board (I'm guessing an X299 Sage or similar) will make your life much easier in the long run.

Sorry for the double.

I posted about this in the Foldaholics thread last month, but then forgot all about it when I fired up some additional GPUs for this months race.

This probably won't apply to too many people, but if you are running AMD GPUs in Linux with ROCm, do not update to ROCm 4.2 if you are folding.  There is a pretty massive regression (-50% or more) on most WUs.  Right now I'm running an older closed source driver, but I am going to so some testing with ROCm 4.0 which had really good performance on F@H when it was released.

**Edit**

I'm now back on ROCm 4.0, and the performance is great.  OpenCl via ROCm 4.0 does not have the performance regression that I saw with ROCm 4.2.  ROCm OpenCl 4.0 is about 8% better than the old closed source driver on the WUs that I am currently running (p18108).

Something is not right there, 2h 15m tpf is way too high! (1m 20s on a 3060)

This screen below has been the bane of my existence. I am seriously out of hours to give these projects. I am very close to scrapping it all.

At this point I'm really starting to understand that frustration.
And to be honest, my M40 has been 'parked' next to the workstation. Building and modifying is something I love, but figuring out all the errors etc is not my thing.

I ran through all the 4.x ROCm releases, and ROCm 4.0 is definitely the one to stick with for F@H.

Not sure if anyone else runs HFM in Linux, but it once again works on Linux through mono.  I haven't messed around trying to rebuild it so it will run "natively" in Linux, but running the latest release through mono works without a hitch.  It can also be ran in WINE, but I don't think the Web Generation will work when running it in WINE.
