[Sponsored] Aorus C621 Xtreme build in a Case Labs M8A XL-ATX [EKWB-Seasonic-CableMod-Aorus]

Hi everyone, well today I bring you the start of my build log. I'm already using the machine, but while I wait for the custom cables from CableMod, I figured I could give you a few updates.

 

This project is made possible with the generous help from Seasonic with their 1300W Prime Platinum PSU along with a 650W Prime Snow Silent Platinum for a total of 2150W potential power! EKWB has supplied Waterblocks for the CPU and GPU along with fans, radiator and pump (They had sent a reservoir too, but I'll be using a Watercool heatkiller taller reservoir). CableMod will be supplying all the cables for this build, which, basically it two sets, since this motherboard has four 8-pin EPS, two 24-pin, two 6-pin and a dual 8-pin bridge cable for the GPU.

 

Now, last, but certainly not least, AORUS, they're sponsoring this build with two 256GB NVME SSDs, three 16GB RGB DDR4 RAM kits (for 12 sticks total since they have 2 dummy sticks each), an AORUS RTX 2080 Xtreme AND the majestic Aorus C621 Xtreme motherboard.

 

Now, I'll be using a Xeon Gold 5218 ES CPU until I can get my hands on a W3175X.

Basically it's mainly for gaming, but there will be a lot of photography work being done on it also.

Oh bummer, so faulty CPU ? Possibly a reseat ? I know it been known that 1 poor contact in the wrong place can cause mem issues.

I've tried 2-3 mounts already, exactly same result, this is a cheap ebay ES sample. It has other issues too like not saving ANYTHING in the BIOS relating to it.

Ahh, bummer! While it is an ES, are you sure its not fake ? There have been some very impressive fakes on Ebay as of late. Either way, sucks it's giving you grief.
