Anyone know of a non-ecc DDR4 kit of 2x modules 128GB Total?

Anyone know of a non-ecc DDR4 kit of 2x modules 128GB Total?

I wanna upgrade my Ryzen 3700X system with a ASUS X570i gaming motherboard mini itx only has 2x slots.  I really need 128GB because when I was installing 3 games at the same time, it was hitting my RAM insanely hard well past 64GB insanity.

Any speed would do but I prefer DDR4-4000, but 3200 would suffice, I suppose.

Thanks

How are you doing DDR4-4000 on a 3700X?

To my knowledge the max per dimm for consumer desktop non-ECC DDR4 is 32gb so you need 4x dimms to get 128gb.

I could get DDR4-4000 but couldn't get the FCLK or UCLK up to 2000Mhz... Had to dial back to DDR4-3800, still not bad I guess.  I'm only running 4.5Ghz @ 1.3v & it's cool & stable like 69C.

Thanks, yeah I saw ecc modules that were 64gb, but not non ecc.  So is there an AM4 EPYC? Doubtful haha

Your 3700X is stable FCLK at 1900? Max I could get on my 5900X was 1866, so run my RAM at DDR4-3733.

Nope, no AM4 EPYC.

Thanks for sharing.

Going back to your original question, even if you did find 64gb dimm modules, four dimm slot X570 boards only support up to 128gb which is 32gb per slot max.

If your X570i has only two dimm slots, then it stands to reason that they also only support up to 32gb per slot for a max of 64gb.

This is why you aren't finding any consumer grade DDR4 meant for AM4 in any higher capacities per dimm. It's all workstation / ECC stuff for Threadripper / EPYC platforms that have the higher per dimm slot support.

I was very unlucky with my 5900X. Absolutely could not run 64GB of RAM at anything above 3200. It seriously irked me the entire time I had it.

Thinking it was because of trying to run 4 DIMMs, I bought a 2x32GB kit. No dice. I even swapped boards thinking that could be the issue. Nope.

Threw the 4x16GB kit in my friends 5600X machine, and it fired right up and was completely stable at 3600. To say I was annoyed is an understatement.
