Those using Microsoft's OneDrive will be able to cut back on data usage as Microsoft has recently confirmed that differential sync has now been enabled for all file types and all customers. Differential sync means that when a user makes changes to a file on OneDrive, only the parts of the file that have changed need to be synced back to the cloud, instead of requiring the entire file to be uploaded again.

I can appreciate Differential Sync for those with bandwidth limitations, but I don't trust differential sync unless it also verifies both files afterwards. And Microsoft is the last company I want to trust with properly syncing files using anything but a straight copy paste with how many times their updates have borked people's files.

Personally they should have had this from the start, but as @axipher says, after a differential there should always be a verification between the local and remote files to make sure everything is in good order.
