Elon Musk Gets Banned From Path of Exile 2—And Here’s Why It Makes Sense

Since the early access launch of Path of Exile 2 in December, Musk has been vocal about his time exploring the game’s grim world of Wraeclast. He regularly shared updates about his in-game progress on social media, much to the delight (and occasional annoyance) of his followers. However, things took a dramatic turn when Musk was kicked from a server for exceeding the acceptable number of actions per minute (APM).

APM measures how many actions—like clicking or pressing keys—a player performs in a minute. Extremely high APM is often flagged by anti-cheat systems, as it can indicate the use of bots or macros to automate gameplay. While Musk insists, “I wasn’t even using macros lol,” the system didn’t buy it, and he was temporarily banned.

Let’s be real: Musk isn’t your average gamer. Between managing rocket launches and brainstorming neural interfaces, it’s hard to imagine him grinding away in an RPG for hours on end. While there’s no concrete evidence that he used bots, his unusually high APM does seem suspicious. Even the most dedicated gamers struggle to maintain such intense activity without assistance.

What's cheaper than paying a player?  A bot!  This is only a temporary ban and it doesn't prove anything.
