We’ve just released a first look at Unreal Engine 5. One of our goals in this next generation is to achieve photorealism on par with movie CG and real life, and put it within practical reach of development teams of all sizes through highly productive tools and content libraries.

This does look really good and it's running on a console as well. I want to see what it could look like on a system running a 9900K + 2x 2080Tis.

Yeah I saw this the other day and it looks amazing, the new engine looks great and it is good to see the consoles able to get fidelity. Of course though you still cannot compare these consoles to PC's like some publications do. When will they learn it is not an apples to apples comparison...like ever.

"Unreal Engine 5 footage ran at 1440p 30 FPS on PS5" https://www.windowscentral.com/unreal-engine-5-footage-ran-1440p-ps5-features-no-ray-tracing

I don't know about you,but I think the consoles (@ least sony) seem to still be having a hard time. the unreal video had no RTX in it,even though the ps5 supports it. What will resolution be reduced to if a game REALLY pushes the gpu with lots of RTX and tries for 60fps? 720p??

I've heard Polyphony Digital managed to get 1080p 60fps with ray tracing on a PS4 Pro, but they are using their own proprietary engine. I believe that they'd be able to get real time ray tracing on a PS5 running at least 1440p 60fps. Polyphony Digital do really like to push Sonys consoles to their limits so I wouldn't be surprised if Gran Turismo 7/Sport 2 ends up running at native 4K 60fps with ray tracing.
