ClockTuner for Ryzen - CTR by 1usmus

Has anyone had a chance to play around with the CTR tool that 1usmus just released? It is an automated tool to CCX overclock or underclock. If you haven't yet, here is the the guide and download locations:

I have always wanted to try clocking per CCX but never got around to putting the time in. After spending a few hours experimenting with this CTR tool and my 3800X, I am pretty happy with the results! I have yet to stray from the suggested settings in the guide but plan to spend a bit more time experimenting with it. 

 

Preliminary results on my 3800X:

  •      CTR Overclock: CCX1-4300, CCX2-4350, 1275mv
  •      CTR Undervolt: CCX1-4150, CCX2-4175, 1181mv
  •      3-8% decrease in single threaded performance 
  •      3-6% increase in multi threaded performance
  •      4-25% decrease in power draw
  •      4-19% decrease in CPU temperature

I am especially excited about the drop in power and thermals! I have never used a software to apply processor settings but this is very clean and non intrusive. That said, I am still leaning towards flashing a modded BIOS on my Crosshair VII to allow applying CCX clocks through BIOS.

I have yet to really play with it, not got the time right now but from what I have read it is a handy piece of software. I think this could possibly help with lowering the amount of voltage needed while retaining an OC. I myself have been rocking a per CCX overclock on my X570 Asrock Aqua for a good while now on my 3950X: 4500/4450/4400/4300 @1.3v currently. Any lower and I start seeing issues.

Testing now...

 

Initial general suggestion was P1 1250mV at 4600 and P2 1325mV at 4675 and 4125 at 1125mV

 

Raising dv to 1300mV and re-running.

Yeah I have been testing this, good results thus far, but had to re-do windows so I am going to re-tune and report back.
