    AMD AM4 Platform to be supported for much longer, software support & new hardware hinted? WCCFTECH.COM Like may companies, AMD will continue to support AM4 platform for several more years, with the hint at new designs on the horizon. Would be great to have ddr4 support on newer cpu!

    Those can are coldddd when upside down. That a great idea too. Many ways to have good result. Sometime in the winter my bedroom is at like 8-12c because i forget my windows open and i like it cold

    Always heard of intel being weaker haha never killed a chip yet since i never want to kill them. I got a trick i want to try. Ice filled bucket with the 360mm in it. Should be able to hold 5-20c cpu temp

    Do you think i can achieve 6ghz on a single module? Need to read more about all the voltage on the mobo. Increased all of them by 0.01 just to see and it helped a little stability. Running a 360mm and even at 1.63 load am at like 40c 6 core loaded. Back of mobo vrm are heatsinked with instant glue seem to be holding for now and front as 2 fan at full blast I think piledriver overclock better but am not sure i could order fx 4300 for like 20$ each.

    Booted at 4.8 with 1.65v and 1.61 vdrop load on r15 with my 2x2gb 1600. Work 7/7 days a week so i dont even have enough time to overclock for fun lol. Gonna try to rma the ram then after that push all my cpu to death and maybe order 2-3 8300 at 55$ cad on aliexpress.

    Nah but x79. Ram bandwith is insane on server setup But cpu z is not really a real life comparison. If you look at passmark i do as much on 8 ht core and 4 non ht core as a single cpu Task need to be multithreaded most software arent. I saw cinebench benchmark tho and those dual cpu are insane! Not like x79

    I wonder why you are all going with those build? I sold my x79 stuff because my 12700k as 10 time the horsepower. I would love a mini itx x99 or x299

    Am just not a fan of hp haha. Those setup are great. For some reason i like those unbranded fire risk setup . That one look cool but i would be afraid to receive an empty box or a fire hazard. Ordered some x79 without issue but driver where a nightmare for usb and audio. Anyone here with 128gb can try rosetta@home with python work unit? For some reason i can run 20 vm on 64gb but cpu usage stay low so i wonder how those xeon would perform.

    That true loved that with my 7950 since i buyed them used. But kinda boring when you get them new... In 4 years my 6800xt is going to beat a 3090

    I tested my 6100 with my 6800xt. Seemed to run great on 4gb ram and caching to my ssd . Ran gta v 4k maxed out at like 40 fps. I know the integer performance was ways better vs intel. But a 8 core e5 2689 is like 30$ now and it a better cpu

    Just installed it. Lot of driver improvement to do. The 6000 gen can't even fold a realistic ppd. A 1080ti fold more and it like 7 years old.

    Yea did that once with Msi i was like i somewhat killed it myself but not sure and they rmaed the mobo i love Msi since. I know that the fx cpu are not going to run high memory clock but i just wanted the memory stick because i had the same set on my 4790k more freedom with setting too. Anyways that rigs is just for playing around then will probably store it somewhere in a box as my overclocking training tool for noob. And i want to break 6ghz Thank you everyone for the help

    Rip at least i haven't paid that much. Cpu-z do show some jedec setting that should boot. I tried 1.65v 1066 without success. I could try an rma it lifetime warantly but i feel cheap about it since i don't know what happenend. Wonder if gskill still has any high performance ddr3 ram in inventory

    Tested 1 ram stick did not even want too boot with memok. Then tried with another one in the same slot and just ran 800mhz. Now my friend just tested on is gigabyte 970a and no boot at all. Those ramstick probably overheated or something it strange maybe a surge damage.
