  1. All the work I've been able to do today along with pictures of the other coilovers...
  2. Yeah it is or rather was. I don't have a garage, even if I did, it would be too small to reasonably do work in. There are some rental garages down the road from me but they're those ones that are 4.9x2.4m. My car is 5x2m leaving literally less than no room lengthways and about 20cm either side which isn't even enough to open the doors to get in and out of the car. Also they get broken into a lot and have things stolen from them.
  3. A few months ago, I paid someone to sort out the area around my car, it would have taken them 10-15 minutes to do it, but "I'll do it later" except it's later now and it hasn't been done so I had to do it. Because of that, taking the wheels off (which should have taken me 15 minutes at most) ended up taking me 2 hours to do because I had to clean all the stuff around the car and dig underneath it a little bit so I could get the jack underneath to lift it up. Anyway, this is the reason why I needed to change the suspension with a reference pic of what it's supposed to look like As you can see, the coils of the spring are not supposed to be touching each other. It is actually slightly worrying because it does look like there's tension it in. Not as much as there should be, but there's probably at least a couple hundred kg of tension. Enough to kill someone if it explodes and hits them in the face. Also as soon as I get to the good bits of the work, it starts raining. It wasn't supposed to start raining until 15:00. It actually started raining at 12:30.
  4. I'm making a log for this because why not. It's going to be the slowest log of all time. It does need a lot of work, starting off with replacing the suspension because the FR suspension collapsed due to corrosion and the RR looks like it's about to do the same. It has been sitting for quite a long time now so it will need a lot more than that replaced. I'm going to replace the brakes, engine mounts, suspension bushings, all fluids changed, fuel pump cleaned/replaced, spark plugs replaced, belts replaced and probably much more that I don't know about yet.
  5. It's a game where you design, "engineer" and "build" cars including the engine anytime between the year 1946 and 2020. It's currently in development, so there's no real career mode just yet. There hasn't been an update in a few months other than a hotfix so I'm hoping we're going to get the forced induction update very soon. They have been promising that for the last 4 years. Current forced induction is just turbos that's realistic to the real world 1980s turbo technology. Here's a good video showing a build from start to finish: EDIT: lol 5 minutes after making this post, the developers uploaded an update video of what's coming very soon and it is getting the forced induction overhaul in the next week.
  6. I made another car in Automation. 1989 sport coupe with 250hp and 340Nm out of a 2.8L fuel injection turbo I5. Only weighing 1239kg, it gets from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds and on to a top speed of 245km/h all while getting 30mpg city, 38mpg highway. Only for $15,425 ($31,995 adjusted for inflation)
  7. It actually does do DX12 on Windows 7/8/8.1. When I was looking through the files for it on the day it released, it does install "12on7" by default which is the Microsoft official fix (if you can call it that) to get DX12 programs to work on 7, 8 and 8.1.
  8. Not a screenshot, but Dirt Rally 2.0 in VR I messed up the hairpin pretty badly and did mis-shift a couple of times, but Finland is still the best country for this. Australia coming in at a close second.
  9. Yeet https://extremehw.net/forum/gaming/general-ab/1015-screenshots-of-your-games?p=3359#post3359 Do you have a handbrake? Dirt Rally was really fun with a wheel, but I found it pretty difficult to play without a handbrake, and I still had a bit of a hard time with it bound to a button on the wheel. But yes, that was the only cockpit-based VR game that started hinting at some motion sickness, but it never got too bad for me. I don't have an actual handbrake, I'm using the R3 button on my T300RS for that.
  10. I got DIRT Rally 2.0 on the Steam sale, it's a lot of fun in VR, but I can see how a lot of people would have problems with motion sickness in it. Especially on Finland/Australia. There's a Steam achievement to do 100 jumps total on any Finland course, I chose the one that was 16km long and managed to do all 100 jumps before Finnishing the course in the Group B Peugeot.
  11. I think only a small amount of people were affected because there are only a small amount of people still playing this.
  12. It's amazing how it takes some people weeks or months to get into D class. At least until you find out why. I saw someone complaining about not being able to get out of rookies for 18 months. He said he either wins or dies trying, but wonders why he can't get out of rookies.
  13. It is, but won't work for you unless you already have an account with an expired subscription. Look at your DM's on Discord fam.
  14. We also had a very special guest this episode :thumbs_thumbup: The demon was a good guest.
  15. HA gotem I got it next day even though I didn't pay for next day which was a bonus as well. Saved me £16.50. Not that it matters anyway because I'm not going to install them for another few months at least.
  16. Speaking of which and it probably doesn't apply to anyone here. iRacing is currently $5 + tax for 3 months for those with expired subscriptions if you enter the code "PRLAPSED20191218A" in the checkout.
  17. Source [video=youtube_share;X_dnAD5TD-E]https://youtu.be/X_dnAD5TD-E This is pretty neat. It should cut down emissions a lot for short-haul flights. I can't see it taking over long-haul flights for a very, very long time though. Battery tech has improved a lot in recent years but it's still no where near good enough.
  18. A lot of rambling this episode probably :thumbs_thumbsupup: I don't remember most of it. Something about SSDs in the PS5 and Xbox Two and then something about ladyboy pizza.
  19. Automation 95% of the grille is non functional ✓ 1.8L 115hp ✓ FWD ✓ 1600kg for no reason ✓ built on a hatchback chassis but tall ✓ 8 speed auto geared for upwards of 350km/h ✓ dual fake exhausts ✓ It's called the Exile because it sounds forbidden and the exact model is the 85. What does the 85 mean? Who knows but it's probably a bigger number than whatever your neighbour has on their car.
  20. At least the electronics are working [video=youtube;nWEp0ti-m8s]
