  1. This is going to go up even more. Every time it makes the news that they've got a new record, more people start folding. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they've broken the 10 exaflops barrier by the end of May. Especially now that it's so easy to set up F@H.
  2. Yeah, it's pointless for consumers right now. Even the fastest SSDs on the market right now are 25-30Gbps in sequential read, 28 times slower than what this can handle. Not to mention gigabit internet is still pretty rare.
  3. I meant the whole team. I'm averaging like 4.5 WUs per day so far. I got one WU that was getting near enough 1.7M PPD on my RTX 2070. I would very much like more of those.
  4. Yeeting your way through the licenses is surprisingly easy in iRacing. It took me 3 weeks to get from rookies to A license. I did see someone on Reddit complain about how difficult it is to get promoted. He said he was stuck in rookies for 2 years. He couldn't understand why, and someone asked how he was still stuck in rookies for that long and he replied with "I always win or die trying."
  5. Nando Lorris probably got a lot of flak for that. I think he went back to iRacing after uninstalling F1 2019. What I really hate about that game is, I had no issues with the game until over 2 hours into it. Then it started crashing and I was getting really bad stuttering so I couldn't get a refund on it. I'm never going to buy another F1 game again because of that. At least not from Codemasters.
  6. I'm going to do drunk driving in VR.
  7. Touch screens would have been pretty interesting, but I'm not sure how well that would be. It would either have to have terrible battery life or be very expensive to make.
  8. Update: Turns out I wasn't running the client and that's why it wasn't working.
  9. It seems that's what they're going to do. It's not ? Real time flights and flight paths have been public for a long time now. I believe flightradar24 is the most popular one. If you have a flight number, you can just put it in google and it will come up if it has a flight plan. For example, right now BA226. Currently 2 hours into a flight from JFK for Heathrow, it's a British Airways Boeing 787 Dreamliner with 2x Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines registered as G-ZBJI in late 2017 flying at 495 knots at 41,000 ft heading 052. Information on commercial aircraft is very, very public.
  10. The problem I have (sometimes) is if I just launch the client and use the advance control to open the UI, it just says "Client: local Connecting Inactive" until I open client.foldingathome.org then it connects and I'm able to start folding if I'm able to get a WU.
  11. I can't even get into Folding at all, it just says it times out when I try to get onto client.foldingathome.org I've done everything to try and fix it and nothing works.
  12. Yeah, they're idiots when it comes to technology. They have repeatedly tried to get bills to pass that force companies to put backdoors in their encryption despite every major tech company saying it's a really dumb idea for many reasons.
