  1. The great thing about Pfsense and its general purpose, low end/dated hardware within reason will perform just fine. Perfect for re-purposing that old rig sitting in the corner gathering dust !

Indeed. The only reason why I upgraded to modern hardware was due to OpenVPN encryption bogging down resources once our Internet speed increased above 100 Mbps.

And even then, I still bought a used Xeon of ebay lol

  2. I remember having that once in my Accord. I figured it just grabbed the wrong fuel map for the conditions (it was recently after I went from a 12kg flywheel to a 4kg flywheel) and derped. I never had it again for around 18 months after that.

However, I believe it may be due to a dirty/faulty MAP sensor, idle control valve, sparkplugs or even injectors for yourself?

It's definitely worth looking into. Most likely, its an old part that's going out.

  3. Nah, he just is one of those guys coming from thinking entry level beats are good lol

He bought a full klipsch and was confused as to why the sub was being canceled by the towers, and why there was no midbass when the tower speakers were jammed against the wall.

  4. Had some wierdness with the 96 civic this morning.

57F (14C) outside this morning, drive to the gas station to get coffee. 5 minutes later, go to start back up the car again, turns over and fires up, runs for about a second, and cuts out. Try again, same thing. Try again, give it some throttle, good to go now.

Last time this happened, I had a nearly empty tank, so I thought that was related. Now I am not so sure.

    Any ideas?

  5.

I think the name of those noiseblocker fans are easily confused ... "loop"...

I also need to re-read what a router on a stick is. Either I'm over thinking it or it's just multiple vlans hooked into a single switch, switch back into the router

    silly networking peoplez :p

More or less. Router on a stick is multiple vlans connected to a router on a single interface ( or 1 interface per router if running a redundant solution ). Usually it involves configuring 802.1q/LACP, but on pfSense, there is no native VLAN.

I am considering doing a writeup for the chip collective of my multi-VM, multi-VLAN, single hypervisor box solution, because I definitely had some wierdness getting everything going.

  6. Just replaced the passenger side tie rod inner and outer on my civic. Noticed a clicking sound whenever I took a turn at anything above 10 MPH, turns out the bellows and the ball joint boot were busted lol.

Spent about an hour doing some alignment and testing, but now she runs in a straight line without hands on the wheel :)

  7. Oh sick I have this lol

  8. Yeah mine isn't nearly as large as that;

    • Sennheiser HD650 w/balanced cable
    • Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC
    • Sennheiser CX 3.00
    • Schiit Jotunheim with balanced DAC

Was really tempted to upgrade my HD650s for awhile now, but just can't find anything that isn't in the thousands of dollars to do so. Also have been tempted to replace my HD4.50s and CX 3.00s with AirPods ?

Allegedly the new revision of the 650s are pretty good. I believe they are the 660 S?

A buddy of mine is speaking very highly of them, but I haven't done any research on them yet.

  9. How about an extremehw monthly folding event (totally original concept, not taken from anywhere else srs) where you pick a few winners who receive a premium account

    teehee *burp

Hahaha.... I am still dedicated to team 37726, but we may look into that at some point :p

  10. Sign me in.

-Onboard Realtek codec (used to run a Xonar DX but I got annoyed at its numerous bugs on W10 including but not limited to the gain bug and self-shutdown bug)

    -SMSL SA S3

    -Technics SB-C250

I've been considering changing the amp with something a bit beefier (especially since I'm driving 60W RMS speakers through a 2x25W output), but these get louder than I've ever needed them to be, so for now that won't be the case.

Gotchu added. Also sorted the list alphabetically by username. :)
