  1. My living room consists of a PC with an i5 4590S with a Silverstone AR11 and custom intake shroud with ASUS Turbo 1070Ti in a Alienware x51 with Logitech K400+ and Nixeus Revel for gaming, Toshiba 39" 1080p TV from 2012 (surprisingly good as a monitor), Simple Audio Listen (RIP) with a 40W JVC sub.

I'm really happy with this setup as is. If I'm too lazy to go downstairs to game on my big TV, I just popup a folding table, slap a mouse mat for my Revel and voila, games at 1080p like a beast

The speaker setup just as is (The Simple Audio Listen) is really good as PC speakers, the Bass is good if you have them against a wall, but because of the size, it won't fill a room. That's why I added a 40W JVC sub for the living room.

Added you to the list sir! If you want, please provide model numbers for that Sub and TV so I can cleanup the spreadsheet a bit lol

  2. My best suggestion is to find and old computer lying around (even those dell mass-produced mini workstations would be fine), slap pfSense on a USB, and play with it.

My first pfSense box was a Dell Dimension 8400 lol

  3. I have a few headphones... I have bought and sold many over the years. Some I would buy again. LOL

Denon AH-D5000 (Mark-L modded with Black Dragon cabling)

    Denon AH-D7100 for traveling

AKG K701 (Modded with Black Dragon cabling)

    Grado SR325 (Blue Dragon cabling)

These are my keepers. I have some nice earbuds and in-ear monitors also.

First post on EHW is in here, eh? Welp, welcome to the forum, I'll get you added to the spreadsheet shortly!

Any DACs or Amps to report?

  4. I had an MX-50x that broke so that could probably be added.

Unrelated: I really think I should buy a DAC and/or amp for my DT770s. I do feel like they're being wasted right now. I'm just using my motherboards onboard audio. There really isn't that much of a sound difference between my DT770s and the 3.5mm Apple headphones that used to come with every iPod/iPhone.

Noted. Which ohm variant of the 770s do you own? I have the 80 Ohm varient, and the Schiit Fulla is more than enough for it. (Albeit, the sound profile doesn't matches the headphones IMO)

  5. I upgraded!

No more SMSL SA50, it got swapped for a Klipsch PowerGate.

everything else is the same, just a new amp.

Good stuff. I suppose I should add a "Retired Equipment" column, would be cool to log what people have used in addition to what they are now using.

Speaking of which, I have to add dad's Bose 301 Series II's and the turntable to the retired column (when I update the doc), I had to return them to my dad when I moved. Just down to the 4312's now. And now I need a turntable
