I had a similar issue where the game cache was messed up and I had to manually delete a certain file and it fixed it. Don't remember what file but you could probably look it up or just delete the entire cache folder. Reinstalling does not fix, must manually delete.

I finally figured out how to disable the auto-trim on the airbus. That thing is so weird to fly. Also I've been trying to land it with the engines off and so far, no luck. It seems ok until the last few seconds when it's clear my decent is too fast and game over.

Slightly off topic but why hasn't Nvidia dropped the prices on the 2000 series GPUs? It makes no sense that 2000 GPUs are slower and more expensive than the 3000 still today. If they dropped 2000 series prices, people might actually but them since they're the only thing available that can do RT right now.

I think this is because the 3000 series was supposed the have more ram to begin with. I'm sure Nvidia always planned to hit their ram target with the 3000 series even if that means a second revision. That said, as other have pointed out elsewhere, it will make it awkward if they release a 3080 super and a 3080 to with the gap between the 3080 standard and the 3090 being so small.

I do computer repair and I haven't seen a windows 7 pc in a loooong time now. I don't think these numbers represents the average user. I suspect most of the PCs still running windows 7 are in parts of the world with less access to technology.

You talking about with windows 10 or this site specifically? From the Start menu, open Settings. Tap Personalization, and then over in the left navigation pane, tap Colors. Under the label Choose your default Windows mode, turn on the Dark button.

Do you have the game installed on an SSD? I bet that makes a huge difference in this game.

Seems like the kind of thing that could be automated more so, like to the point that humans are not really a part of the assembly process.

Facebook standing up for small businesses... lol, give me a break. I'm surprised they even published something that said that because the idea is so laughable. Apple, Facebook and google all deserve major fines and new regulations imposed on them. If Microsoft hadn't already had to deal with this and thus learned how to be careful a long time ago I'm sure they'd be on the list too.

To be fair tho, both Nvidia and and are performing much worse with Vulkan RT vs DXR. The amd cards are worse sure but neither are performing well.

What's the problem with your phone camera? I'm not an expert on cameras but I can't imagine the benifit of using acheap digital camera vs a decent phone camera would be huge.

I think the common consumer is quite patient actually. The vast majority of people wait a good while after new GPUs come out to upgrade, and they will look up reviews when they are ready to upgrade. I know a lot of PC gamers and none of them buy into early hype from Nvidia.

By the way I tried my joystick for the first time yesterday. It's very cool, much easier than the controller for precise control. Now I can fly low in canyons which is a lot of fun. The one thing that surprised me a little is the rudder control is still really touchy. Maybe that's how planes are in real life but using the rudder always causes pretty jerky movement for me. Maybe it's just the game? The rudder controls seem way too touchy on both an xbox controller or the joystick.

People can be pissed but the bottom line is this doesn't change anything for consumers unless there are people out there who judge their purchases solely based on pre release reviews. If there are people out there that foolish then they deserve to be separated with their money.

I'm not sure why the articles says you have to register to get the games, that is not the case... just sign in.

I hate to say I feel a little conflicted by this. While it's basically a dick move, it's entirely within Nvidia's rights to control their own marketing. As a gamer/consumer, I really don't care if I see a review a few days before or after new cards come out. Considering how hard it is to ever get new graphics cards, it's not like early reviews even matter fur 99% of consumers. I get that if you're a youtuber who relies on beating others to the punch with video uploads for your income then it's a pretty lame situation to be in but it's not Nvidia's job to make life easy for youtubers. If the hardware unboxed guy was a marketing rep for Nvidia and he wasn't pushing the new features of their product, they would surely fire him. I don't see why providing early samples would be any different. Nothing is stopping anyone buying the graphics card themselves. It seems fairly obvious that early reviews for any product will be skewed and the real lesson here is that early review are a bad practice in the industry overall. No argument that it's lame for Nvidia to do this but it doesn't really bother me either. The way I see if, people who get early samples are basically entering into a transaction with Nvidia that has an understood mutual benifit. If that relationship doesn't properly benifit one party, they have no reason to maintain the relationship. Providing them with something of value that they can use to make money is not all that different from sending them a check directly to me, so I just look at it as if Nvidia fired a marketing rep. A lot of youtubers do this, make a huge deal about something that really only impact them and try to get their audience to care about it as if they have all been greatly injured, but it's just not reality in this case. Nvidia could stop sending early samples to anyone and in wouldn't change a damn thing for anyone except the people who did early reviews. There are times where companies need to be kept in check with public attention, but this isn't it.

Does the Logitech joystick need to be configured with flight sim or will the game recognize it and set the controls automatically? This is basically my first joystick.

Pretty cool to see my 1080ti brought to it's limit. Even without ray tracing this game is both beautiful and highly demanding. I'm using a mix of high and medium settings with resolution scaling down to 65% and I'm just barely getting a decent frame rate in 4k. Haven't encountered any major bugs yet. A few minor visual glitches but that's it. It's really nice that this game makes really strong usage of resolution scaling because it's basically required to play.

If you want the cleanest OS, Nokia has pure android phones. A few months ago I got a new phone and after hour and hours of comparing specs I decided on the redmi note 9s. Has all the right specs for the price.
