  1. Source: https://www.techspot.com/news/88677-chrome-os-overtakes-macos-second-place-annual-market.html As much as I dislike macOS... Chrome is so much worse. I wonder if this says more about chromes success or apples failure.
  2. Source: This 3D printing 'factory' is being built into a shipping container for the US Department of Defense (msn.com) Seems like this kind of thing has the potential to be insanely useful down the line.
  3. This site is great and OCN already feels inferior to me but one thing I have to admit I like about the new layout over there is the longer titles. I don't think the layout over there cuts anything off from the thread titles on the homepage. I feel like it's much harder to browse when titles are cut off. IMO they should be longer. I also think the number of visible threads for the latest threads and new threads should be doubled. Any thoughts?
  4. Source: Microsoft Announces FPS Boost Feature For Xbox Series X/S Backwards Compatibility Games - IGN It seems so simple, makes you wonder why they didn't do it sooner.
  5. Yea but I just posted that since I had already listed those on ebay. Seemed easier to just include a link rather than repost all the pics and info here. If someone from here wanted something on my list, I would be happy to do payment through paypal or venmo or zelle or whatever and I'd just take down the ebay listing for that item.
  6. You could always use venmo or something like that instead.
  7. Source: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/tesla-s-next-business-turning-your-solar-roof-and-ev-into-bitcoin-mines/ar-BB1dLqU6?ocid=mmx&PC=EMMX20 Makes perfect sense. If you have spare power might as well try and use it for something if you can.
  8. Source: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/google-inks-landmark-agreements-with-australian-media-giants/ar-BB1dKrhZ?ocid=mmx&PC=EMMX20 Sounds like google has found the right wheels to grease by paying the lobbying group that I assume pushed for the legislation that created this situation. A real win for the press...
  9. It actually already sold on eBay for $130 total with shipping. If you want to make a better offer send me a PM, haven't shipped it yet. I live in CA and so does the current buyer so the shipping is a little cheaper for him than it might be for you if you don't live in CA.
  10. I just listed some stuff on ebay but would also be happy to sell it to someone from this site. Nothing too interesting, just cleaning out my closet. ViewSonic 1080p projector pro8100. Corsair 750CX power supply. DDR3 ram, some 8GB kits, one 4GB kit. Corsair H60i and other Intel heatsinks. Some mining rig adapters. You can see what I have here: loser6 on eBay If you see anything you're interested in just let me know what you think it's worth.
  11. You can actually copy/paste the files if you want to. Microsoft Flight Simulator - United Kingdom & Ireland World Update - YouTube
  12. Interesting that you mention that unlimited detail demo, I actually watched a breakdown of that not too long ago and it seems like that company is a scam for the most part. It seems they pivoted to some kind of 3d scanning that's similar to what quixel does, but likely inferior. Not sure if they have any actual customers or if their ceo is just endlessly looking for new investors.
  13. Source: https://www.techspot.com/news/88646-qualcomm-google-microsoft-arent-happy-about-nvidia-buying.html Nvidia and open standards are like oil and water.
  14. It's definitely interesting to see all these processing efficiency techniques popping up in this new gen now that 4k is the target res. As this tech matures it's will be interesting to see how it scales on the Xbox series S.
  15. Source: https://www.space.com/spaceborne-computer-2-microsoft-hpe-launching-to-space-station But can it run Crysis...
  16. Even GPUs like the 970 are way over-priced, they're selling for close to $200 used right now.
  17. Now they just need to drop the prices on their motherboards which are still twice the price of AMD boards and lack PCIe4.0.
  18. https://www.techspot.com/news/88598-intel-cuts-10th-gen-comet-lake-prices-amd.html Been getting the itch myself. As much as I'd prefer to go with amd, gotta admit intel has some good prices right now.
  19. Always need at least one large hdd for the bulk storage. Unless SSDs get way cheaper in high capacity, that's not changing anytime soon.
  20. Could it be possible that they might decide to support sli more in the future when it's not hard for gamers to buy a gpu?
  21. Considering how close they are to 5ghz already this doen't seem far fetched at all. Still a lot of room for improvement on 7nm from what I understand. I expect AMD to maintain the performance crown with their next batch of CPUs.
  22. Scalpers are an issue but mining is the real issue. I suspect bitcoin will drop if/when the pandemic ends but who knows. Bitcoin is in uncharted territory. Nvidia tried to make mining only cards by making cards that didnt have video outputs but that didn't work because miners factor the resell cost into their profitability. Essentially they're all renting these cards because the instant mining become unprofitable they will sell them for close to what they paid, if not more considering how bad things are now.
