  1. Yea I hope they release a lower clocked version more in line with the 3700x. That cpu was really at the sweet spot in terms of price and performance.
  2. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt6071534/ I think it's on hulu actually, not netflix. Definitely worth a watch.
  3. This guy is so crazy, surprised he didn't get caught up sooner. There's a documentary about him (netflix I think) and it's just over the top. Apparently the dude liked to be pooped on.
  4. Like a fat spoiled child, a long overdue slap is appropriate. Edit: don't hit kids unless they are intel upper-management.
  5. I honestly wouldn't mind a banner ad or two, those aren't so bad. The kind of stuff vertical scope is doing with ads is super annoying, trying to make ads look like forum posts and putting them in the middle of threads and stuff like that. As long as the ads stay simple and not become so intrusive, it's not a big deal to me. I'm gonna sign up for a premium account later when I'm near my computer. Def want to help support all this effort!
  6. Source: https://www.techspot.com/news/87037-amd-ryzen-5000-launch-fastest-gaming-cpu-higher.html Looks like AMD is about to take the performance crown! Lots more details in the source, no benchmarks yet though.
  7. Yea you're still on ddr3 so it would be tough to wait that long.
  8. Source: https://www.techspot.com/news/86997-sk-hynix-launches-first-ddr5-dram-modules.html Might try to make this 7700k last me until DDR5 hits consumers PCs...
  9. I think your referring to my comment. Glad you found it insightful/applicable. Looks like a lot of people are figuring that out.
  10. What would this enable a user to do? What would be the point of jailbreaking a Mac computer?
  11. In mind shares AMD is winning drastically right now. A core for core performance crown from AMD in the next few months would seriously crush intel. I've got my popcorn ready!
  12. The videos section is really cool. I could see that being a great place to discuss digital foundry videos and the likes. This day and age, it's hard to get around the fact that videos are replacing quotable news articles to some extent. I like the layout of the videos section and I think it would make a really good addition to the front page underneath the new/news posts as a supplement to the news in the form of informative videos. There would have to be rules about posting only tech info videos but that seems pretty doable. A more immediate suggestion would be to allow more text to fit in the thread titles on the front page. As is, the text is cut off a bit too soon.
  13. Probably all of us yet we do not speak its name..
  14. I see you have a thread for suggestions but it's closed. Where should we put suggestions?
  15. This is exactly what a site like this should be. Great job to Enterprise and anyone else involved! I'm sure this site will attract many from the old site over time, as well as new members. Really glad to see the spirit of things is living on here. I really like the new video section. Do you plan to add that to the frontpage in some form? if so I would suggest putting it under the new/news posts.
  16. I've been leaving a few crumbs haha.
  17. Yea it makes sense, I find it to be super weird though. I would prefer reflections be even lower res over dropping elements completely. Seeing things on the ground with no reflections makes it look like they're floating.
  18. Source: https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/windows-10-will-monitor-nvme-ssds-and-warn-you-in-case-of-pending-failures.html This seems like a very welcome new feature.
  19. Digital Foundry has released a great video showing some of the sacrifices devs are making to get ray tracing to work with next gen.
  20. 7700K OCed to 4.9ghz, 1080Ti. Game runs smooth for me. There are hitches for map loading but I think just about any system will have that happening with this game.
  21. Considering VR usually requires at least 90FPS+, I wonder how it will work with flight simulator 2020. I get about 30-40FPS in at 80% 4K on high.
  22. Source: https://www.techspot.com/news/86969-amd-now-accounts-over-25-cpus-among-steam.html Great to see such a strong sign of healthy competition in the cpu market.
