  1. Just screenshot I take with either steam or the AMD control panel. When I checked on this I noticed the images look over saturated on my PC as well. Looks fine in game but screenshots are over saturated. Very weird, HDR is messy. Sorry for the confusion.
  2. Is it possible to fix the issue with HDR images? It seems like the site doesn't support HDR so when an HDR screenshot is posted, it will appear oversaturated.
  3. First attempt at a white sauce chicken pizza. Use too much sauce on the pizza but was otherwise pretty successful.
  4. These pizzas are way better than Dominos! Dominos is like the Intel Arc of pizza. That's pretty cool. You must like the movie Twister. There's some guys that did that kind of thing in real life.
  5. We're all top tier computer knowledge sources. What is your other hobby? A thread for your other hobby, or maybe just a pizza thread? Pizza is my other hobby. I started making home make pizza an obsession of mine when covid started and I had a lot more time at home. Since then, I've been refining the process. I now have a pizza stone and a stand mixer. I can make pizzas now that are pretty close to restaurant quality. Hoping to get fat and die in my sleep off some home-made pizzas.
  6. Much needed change. Glad you got the back end sorted
  7. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Announced at $799 Matching RTX 3090 Ti Perf (guru3d.com) Launches: January 5th They're saying it matches 3090Ti performance. Even though the price is still too high by a lot IMO, this might be the biggest shake up on prices in the used market in any recent times. The 3090Ti is still selling for about ~$1000 used. Of course, the prices will only move if these actually sell for MSRP, and given that this would be a much better price/performance ratio than a 4090, seems unlikely that it will sell for MSRP any time soon. 4090 at MSPR is about $7.50/frame in the price comparison I did a few weeks ago and 3090Ti level performance at $800 would bring that down to about $5/frame in the same comparison. That would still make it more expensive per frame than all the pre-Christmas prices for the used market for everything lower than a 3090Ti. In a few weeks I'll probably do another price chart, it will be interesting to see how much prices shift after Christmas and with the release of another GPU. 8. I finished that the other day, totally agree. It was pretty neat how they had Joel Haver do a lot of the voices too. I think squach games is making a name for itself with this.
  9. Seems hard to imagine that a 6th gen i5 with a ssd would be too slow for an older person.
  10. I got the razor Kishi V2 phone controller for Christmas from my gf. Just got it setup and working fully with DuckStation (ps1 emulator). Got Ape Escape installed, works perfectly. Pretty neat controller, feels like a switch but with a better screen. Love that it works with my phones aspect ratio. Not sure why the screenshot is a bit off to one side.
  11. That's from HDR. Usually best to turn off HDR for screenshots/recording.
  12. Happy holidays everyone! Looking forward to 2023 games, seems like "next gen" is finally supposed to start.
  13. I don't think they've blown it yet. The 7900xt/xtx despite it's flaws it's still a better value for the money compared to Nvidia right now, at least on pure performance. If they can iron out the issue causing more variable clock speeds before they release any more cards, they can definitely turn this around. Neither team has shown what the mid range is going to look like. I think whoever release a card that non-enthusiasts actually want to buy first will be the mindshare winner this round, and AMD and Nvidia both still seem a ways off from doing that. Given how upside down the GPU market is, there is plenty of room to correct these mistakes right now. No one expected AMD to win the enthusiast level race anyway. AMD stopped making the RX6800 pretty early, as that was a sort of rushed out card that they felt had too much ram for the GPU power, so they replaced it with the RX6750XT which has less ram. No reason they can't do that again and phase these first batch cards out over time.
  14. This is what I've heard. It will be really interesting to see what happen will when AMD makes RT a priority and has a more mature chiplet design.
  15. Hope they can pull it off. I think they will be able to make Nvidia sweat a little if their RT performance so far is any indication.
  16. I based it on my experience with ebay, so some of them might be the lowest "buy it now" price, or some might be a little lower than that (plus tax) if it seems like there's a lot of availability, meaning sellers are likely to accept a lower offer. A lot of the "but it now" listing accept offers and usually they will accept a lower offer if it's not far off from what they're asking.
  17. Over all, yes for the most part, but particularly in the low end and with a few exceptions. The 3060 Ti is very close in value to the RX6600 - RX6700 XT. In the mid/high end, the 3070 has a slightly better value than the RX6800 and RX6800 XT.
  18. I spend a lot of time on ebay looking for and buying used parts. I figured I'd put together a list of what the current prices for common used GPUs are since the GPU market is so whack. Each GPU will get a cost per frames score based on Shadow of the Tomb Raider (raster) 1440p benchmarks found here. The cost per frame number will be rounded and include approximate tax and shipping fees. I made these two charts to show the current used market landscape, and compared it the 4090 and 7900XTX. You can see a few trends; like AMD being cheaper per frame, though this would probably look different if we were looking at RT performance. There are also some cards to be avoided, like the 3060, 3070 Ti, 3080 Ti, 3090 Ti, 6500 XT, and the 6750 XT. With the exception of the 3060 Ti, on the Nvidia side there is a price premium for any Ti card compared to it's actual performance even in the used market. For AMD, value stays flat in different tiers for the most part, with the 6500 XT and 6750 XT being outliers.
  19. Great video about some shady video game industry stuff.

  21. John Carmack Leaves Meta, Cites Company 'Inefficiency' WWW.PCMAG.COM Carmack is leaving to focus full-time on his AI startup Keen Technologies, but he has some harsh words for the culture... Interesting, but hardly surprising.
  22. US extends tariff exemption on GPUs and PCBs for another nine months WWW.TECHSPOT.COM Then-President Donald Trump directed the USTR to create the tariffs in 2018 amid the trade war with China. After... I saw something the other day that suggested this tariff was part of the reason AMD felt rushed to get some GPUs out now.
  23. I think that will definitely happen soon if it's not already happening.
