  1. I don't know what version of USB mine uses....it's a 2019 model unit. I am using a USB3 stick. By the time I click agree to the stupid warning screen about driving and playing video, it's playing.
  2. That's a lot of songs. I only have 6,195. If you want to get the tagging and album art right, use MusicBrainz Picard.
  3. I used to rip everything to FLAC and MP3. FLAC for home and MP3 in the truck, but now I have a head unit that reads FLAC..so no more MP3's. I just need a USB stick big enough. I only have a 128GB stick, which is way too small for everything.
  4. I had big ambitions for this event. I was going to get my 2P system back up and running with 32 threads and add a 1070ti. I also wanted to have the first work unit drop right after the start. Well, in reality, I only have my Radeon VII..and the first finished task will be over an hour late. ?
  5. The homepage has a limited variable width. It shrinks but it only stretches to about 1390 pixels. If the variable width was wider, that would allow the titles to be longer, the wider your browser window, the longer the titles.
  6. I still have Diablo and Diablo 2 on CD.
  7. Good thing Connery died so he didn't have to go through surgery again and be WOKE up as a woman.
  8. I like the EXOS drives. Prior to putting a drive into service, I run this Burn-in script. A 16TB drive takes about a week to complete. If that doesn't kill a new drive, I don't know what will.
  9. Buy stocks that pay quarterly dividends. AMD is only good for a pump and dump, they've never paid a dividend. Don't buy stocks based on emotion. Mix in stocks of "Consumer Staples" and buy a stock of a cigarette company (I have Altria Group Inc ). No matter how bad the economy gets, people don't stop smoking. I haven't looked at my stocks since last March. The market tanked so I doubled down. I usually only look at it when I do my yearly IRA contribution.
  10. I've gotten this error twice in the last couple minutes.
  11. Or you can get a LC duplex fiber patch cable up to 30m and use LC duplex SFP+ transceivers which are less expensive than ones for RJ45.
  12. I have Cyberpunk in steam. But the slowness could also be congestion at any point between you and the steam server. I have a 1 Gbps connection but for some reason on sunday mornings my connection to some sites slow down like I'm back on slow DSL.
  13. I'm guessing it was just a network issue. I just installed the hotfix and loaded the game in about 2 minutes. I'm playing on linux, which adds more complexity over playing on windows.
  14. I've been lucky, I haven't had any crashes...but I've only played a few hours with the patch.
  15. My Microcenter doesn't have squat. The newest AMD GPU in stock is a Visiontek Radeon RX 560, which they have 2 in stock. For Nvidia they have 2 ASUS GeForce GT 1030. Oh my bad they do have 2 PNY Quadro RTX 4000
  16. Last year it was toilet paper, this year it's CPU's and GPU's.
  17. I just use distilled with a few drops of Mayhems Biocide Extreme. It even comes with pH strips.
  18. If you visit the link and Click "Sold by NewEgg" Those are third parties sellers. Newegg only has a Refurbished MSI RTX 2080 Super in stock for $749.99.
  19. What they are doing is the equivalent to what Enterprise did when starting this topic. The Covid statistics are unique. Search for anything else and it's just a title with a link to the original article.
  20. Google is providing them free advertising by providing the link that most people wouldn't even know existed otherwise. Spain already tried this. Google shutdown Google News in Spain. Unless Australia can strong arm Google like France did, by making it illegal for Google to remove the link (don't ask me how that was even possible), Google isn't paying.
  21. TDP isn't total power draw. Plus Intel TDP is listed as its base freq not the turbo freq. I have 2 Xeon E5-2670's in a single system that I have now retired because of the power consumption. A single Ryzen R9 CPU can outperform them with less power draw.
  22. Those old Xeon's are fine if you're not paying the electric bill.
  23. UniFi Switch 16 XG I can't believe I paid this much just to have a 10Gb connection from my NAS to my desktop. NewEgg had it $50 below MSRP with a promo code for an additional $15 off and I've been drooling over this for months. Now I need a pair of Mellanox network cards and some fiber and I'm good to go.
