  1. They should never discontinue reference cards. I don't know why AMD does this. Waterblocks are usually made for reference cards.
  2. I wouldn't mind having something that wide. It's almost as wide as a triple 1080p monitor setup. The only problem is playing a game that can't handle it.
  3. I use this in Linux, it detects my G502 Hero. BTW, when I open this thread and only in this thread. I get this warning
  4. It does happen. The first batch of Zen 1's had segmentation fault issues, and was eligible for RMA.
  5. It's random. Or is it? Every time I click on tictoc's Threadripper Home Server thread it takes me to the post of a pic of SATA cables which is currently the third to last post. I can see the last post for a split second, then when the page fully loads I'm looking at SATA cables again. A lot of times when it happens it takes me to a pic. Just testing, it happens in Firefox(with ublock origin,Noscript and firefox's enhanced tracking protection all turned off) but doesn't happen when using Falkon. Falkon uses Qt WebEngine which shares code with Chromium.
  6. Sometimes when clicking on a thread, it doesn't take me to the first unread message, instead to some random message higher up on the page.
  7. ESP LTD EC-10 Black Friday Sale only $162 shipped. It's crazy! It's so nice. Sure it's probably built by Chinese slave labor...but they did a hell of a job. I was tired of having a floyd rose tremolo...it's just a pain in the ass and I suck anyway, plus after seeing that original Ibanez RG550's are selling for more than what they originally cost new, I don't want to mess mine up..so hopefully I can sell it. This EC-10 is perfect for playing Rocksmith.
  8. I still have an Athlon Xp 2000 and whatever ASUS motherboard it's sitting in with 1GB of DDR333, a Soundblaster Live and an Ati 9700 Pro. I guess that's my oldest hardware. I have lots of old CD's including: Fallout 1 & 2, the original Tomb Raider, Quake and Final Doom. There may still be games on floppy in my parents garage.
  9. I like the idea of the mounting plate for the splitty's..I'll have to steal that....but those holes...?
  10. Why would we put specific proprietary OS functions in a CPU? The OS should be written to leverage functions of a CPU, not the other way around...that's what OS's do. Will there now be a licensing fee paid to Microsoft included with the purchase of every CPU? Overall this sounds more like a way for Microsoft to collect telemetry with no way of turning it off.
  11. The Pro driver doesn't get game optimizations, the Mesa driver does, which is why it's so crazy that the Pro driver does so much better in some games.
  12. I've only looked at the review on Techspot and the Phoronix review, but the 6800XT performance seems to be up and down. In 1440p it edges a 3080 in some games, but then loses in 4k. In Linux it's all over the place. With the open source drivers it comes close to a 3080 in some games, but then in others it's being beaten by a 2080ti....and then it's killing the 3080 in Superposition and Heaven benckmarks.
  13. Well the best thing would be to not use windows for a dedicated folding machine.
  14. ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Crucial Ballistix MAX DDR4-4000 18-19-19-39 BLM2K16G40C18U4B I still need a CPU, another memory kit so I have 64GB and assorted watercooling parts. Oh wait....this is actually the last thing I bought. The gear came yesterday. I'm stocking up. I have 4 packs of these now. If a lockdown happens, I'm ready this time. I'll buy another one this weekend.
  15. It doesn't get low enough. It only gets down to 32hz. My surround sound speakers do 39hz. In the low 20's or lower is ideal.
  16. That's the one thing I don't like about folding. If i want to play a game or something, I can't just pause it, I have to wait till its finished. That's what's nicer about boinc projects. It doesn't matter how long it takes, you still get the same amount of points.
  17. The only dumb thing I remember doing is, many moons ago I was installing Fedora to try out. I intended to only install it to 1 of the 3 drives in my system, but I guess I wasn't paying attention and it installed an LVM partition across all 3 drives. So I had to re-download a lot of porn. ?
  18. I haven't looked at my stocks....since probably last march..they're all in an IRA so I don't care about the daily or even monthly ups and downs. I'm in it for the long haul...it's all about dividend reinvestment. I'm guessing my Pfizer stock went up.
  19. I'm not sure how much. I'm guessing I could have bought an RC car for less than what it cost to print one. I know i spent over $100 on packs of different size screws from McMaster-Carr. I started printing 3 different ones so I went through about 3 rolls of filament and the filament I used isn't cheap. Plus I have a bunch of left over bearings and other parts. I have a Prusa i3 MK3S that I upgraded with a Bondtech extruder and a Slice Engineering Mosquito hot end.
  20. Unless there's been a major update since release, it's only DX11.
  21. Here's my latest print. My transmitter was delivered today and I got it running for the first time......and it's already covered in dog hair. ? It was printed in mostly Atomic Filament CF-PETG with some parts being Colorfabb XF-CF20. I still need a parallel cable so I can hook up both batteries.
  22. It looks much better in Linux... And it still has overclocking built in. Voltage adjustment is available too, but I currently have that disabled.
