  1. One of mine: ASRock EP2C602 SSI The only thing better than a MB with 2 sockets would be one with 4.
  2. Don't know why he wants to buy that cesspool....other than just wanting to 'stick it' to the snowflakes.
  3. A 4u Rosewill Rackmount Server chassis is probably the only thing that's intended to sit flat, in that price range, and fit those coolers. But double check the cooler heights first .
  4. I was given the Furbo dog cam, from that list, for christmas. I've never taken it out of the box. Hell if I'm going to set up a spying device in my house.

    2022 Team Cup!

    That poor little plant.
  6. Back in the day Blue Jeans was recommended by Audioholic's for being snake oil free. That's where I heard of Blue Jeans...I used to visit that site everyday....I bought my Ascend Acoustics Sierra 1's because of that site.
  7. Now a days their prices are a little high...but it's a husband and wife run company that probably doesn't sell in large volume. Back when I bought from them, Amazon wasn't what it is today. I don't like the ultra sonic welding thing...but other than that there is no other market jargon or what I would consider snake oil. They list what brand of wire they are using and where it's made.
  8. Well considering the site that's selling them....along with Aliexpress....it's a given that it's useless junk. Blue Jeans Cable are decent cables without the useless marketing jargon. I've bought speaker cable from them, they sell Beldon cable by the foot. Monster cable would have been the link to post.
  9. That looks like something my mother would buy me from QVC.
  10. A Pair of Bilstein B6 4600 Shocks for the rear of my F-150 and a lower steering shaft. On the current one, the U-joints are rusted causing them to bind making it difficult to steer.
  11. You make it sound so easy. But I'll stick to my small block V8's. Everything has easy access. It's been over 20 years since I had anything that wasn't a V8.
  12. I can only imagine how horrific it will be to pull that engine. There is no room and there's so much crap to get out of the way. The only engine I've ever pulled was the 350 I had in my 1968 Camaro....the engine compartment is huge and there aren't many accessories so it was easy.
  13. Why do they do this????? They both shouldn't be called 4080's. It all started with the 8800 GTS (512mb) and 8800 GTS (320mb). The two GPU's weren't on the same nodes and had nothing in common other than both being an 8800 GTS. As for the prices, with inflation at a 40 year high, it was to be expected.
  14. If they genuinely are no longer going to sell GPU's, and they aren't going to move into other product segments, expanding their motherboard business is my theory.
  15. They should just give up on the naming. It's all USB C anyway.
  16. (After looking to find out what the hell IKR means) I still hear the sound on a regular basis. One of the electrical supply stores that I buy material from still uses a dot matrix to print out receipts. A dot matrix printer came with my first computer, that I got for Christmas back in 1988. I used that printer until 2004...with the original ink ribbon....try doing that with an Ink Jet. Even though I no longer have the printer, I have a leftover stack of pin feed paper on my desk that I use for writing down notes...sure...it's 20 years old and a little yellow...but it's still perfectly good paper.
  17. Looks like there may be a dot matrix printer in there under a keyboard.
  18. If you're going to play Black Label Society, you gotta play Funeral Bell.
  19. I don't know if the Linux version or Vulkan test doesn't show that or if it wasn't shown since I ran it through Phoronix Test Suite so I could send the results to Openbenchmarking.org. It only showed fps.
  20. Finally, a GPU benchmark other than Heaven and Superpostion that's Linux native....oh and it can be used with Phoronix Test Suite for uploading results to OpenBenchmarking.org Heres my run using Phoronix Test Suite. This was my second attempt. My first was trying Vulkan Ray Tracing which didn't work with AMD on Linux. Here is my result uploaded to Openbenchmarking.org. I've included the system logs for anyone that wants to look at them. Not sure if the CPU was boosting correctly, the scaling_available_frequencies log only shows 3700 and 2200. But I don't know if the log just shows base clock or boost clock. I guess I'll have to run it again with MangoHUD running. 21. My first computer only had 640k of ram...(not counting the family Apple ][ that had 64k that wasn't "mine").....so every computer in the last couple decades has more cache than my first.
  22. Did you power cycle the monitor? My Gsync Alienware monitor doesn't like AMD GPU's. About 90% of the time when the monitor sleeps, I have to pull the power cord out of the back of the monitor, hold the power button for about 10 seconds, then plug the cord back in for the monitor to wake up. I had to do it with my Radeon VII on my Ryzen 1 system and I still have to do it with my 6900XT on my Ryzen 3 system. But it works fine if I put my 1070ti back in.
  23. 2000W is 16.6 Amps, unless you're plugged into a 20 Amp outlet on a 20 Amp circuit, you might want to unplug something. The breaker and the outlet can handle spikes above it's rating, but it shouldn't be continuous.
