Nice, still socket 754. If you can find an AMD AGP 4x card, you could use it for that. I don't know if you'll be able to beat my Athlon 64 3400+ for the Super Pi round. Thats assuming I can get the damn thing working though LOL

P.S. Props for all the recent benching you've been doing!

Ah, ok. I didn't even look. Still can use it for the Mem round for SuperPi. Maybe he can get a cheap AMD AGP 4x card

Yes, we need that. Though we would be competing if I can get my socket 754 working. I have an Athlon 64 3400+ in it. Supposed to have different sockets at least for the DDR Super Pi round. 939, 754 or 462. I still say you should run it. Whichever score is better will be used. You should be able to use that combo for the AMD AGP round (3DMark01) as well, as long as the GPU is 4x or lower.
  5. RAM frequency scales with CPU frequency. You should be able to achieve 3600 RAM clock at XMP with increased voltage. I would not be afraid to use 1.5v daily for DDR4 (With good airflow over the IC's). Agree with @Bastiaan_NL that you'll need a higher SA, anything less than 1.2v should be ok, but you should try to find what's stable less than 1.2v. Your AVX offset of 9 is a bit extreme (I get it for testing) and you should not have to do much more than 2-3 even at 5GHZ CPU frequency should you manage to achieve it. You could set min/max cache that would help your OC, but increased cache can lead to RAM instability at higher frequencies. -3 is usually a safe default I.E 4.9GHz all core CPU with 44/46 Cache min/max. The big question is "Safe" voltage for your chip. I have read through the 10900x datasheet, but couldn't find an exact voltage operating range for the CPU so If it were a 9900k, I wouldn't be afraid to run up to 1.36v daily under a good cooling solution. But as with anything, take it with a grain of salt and what you think your tech can handle.
  6. I've got a few 600-900 series cards I'd part with if you are feeling nostalgic for an EVGA piece to rub like a genies lamp.
  7. Don't give him any ideas...lol
  8. We do miss you posting here you know...
  9. Yea. I wonder if EVGA actually gave a loss figure or if it's just speculation from Steve.
  10. What is the budget for these 1 million PPD AMD cards? You aren't going to like the cost compared to the NVidia counterparts. RX 5600's might be your best bet, they are going for between $150-200 quid on ebay. I don't know what the used market looks like in the UK though. I fully understand your driver and noise pain. I had a ton of issues with drivers using them when mine were functional.

You scammed your cousin! RTX 3050 vs RTX 2080 SUPER Game Performance Benchmarks (Core i9-10900K vs i7-8700K) - GPUCheck United States / USA WWW.GPUCHECK.COM RTX 3050 versus RTX 2080 SUPER performance benchmarks comparison. 12. RIP This fanclub. Hug your cards tonight bois!
  13. Well, at least the value on my EVGA GPU stockpile went up over night....
  14. I wish I could help you on this one, but I have never owned any of the -X series chips and I don't know how closely they mirror their K counterparts. I know @Bastiaan_NL has an X299 Sage and has done some overclocking with it. I think he would be able to help. I am pretty sure @The Pook has 10th gen too. Elmor had a thread on OCN stating that the 10th gen was very similar to the previous 9th gen. It might be worth a read HERE. I really hate trying to give advice on things I haven't actually played with before, so I'll let the experts step in. GL!
  15. I have not been able to open any of it up yet and most likely won't until next weekend. I am most excited about that Apple 2c and the Amstrad NC200. It is in impeccable condition because it was stored in a hard case. The thing takes 5 C batteries and if it is functional I think I can land between $200-300 for it shipped on the used market. I don't quite know if I have what I need to confirm the Apple 2c and 286/2 are working, but I haven't really gotten into it yet.
  16. I have not used them personally, but it seems like overkill "IF" the rated specifications are true. You are also introducing 2 extra layers of thermal transfer. RAM IC > TIM > Indium pad > TIM > Heatsink. I wager it wouldn't be much better than using a really good 11 or 18w/mk pad that is the traditional RAM IC > Pad > Heatsink model. It is a curious product though. It's liquid metal in a pliable solid format.

I have the same kit of Vipers. Need a HIGH CPU clock speed for them to function at their rated XMP. I had to OC my 9900k to 5.2GHZ+ for XMP to work. Plus voltage helps. They won't boot with anything higher than 3600 at stock CPU speeds.
  18. Yea, not able to find anything on GPU OCing using Unraid. Guess we'll just have to be happy with what we got.

No, I really did Broham. All I had to go off of without hearing your voice and seeing your face was your forum name and choice of rig aesthetics. Not that it matters in the slightest, but you had me fooled. Also, the "Daddy chill" didn't help your case much
  20. Today was exciting. The same guy from work that motivated me to create this thread showed me a storage auction fairly close to my house. I am going to bid on it with a cap of $150. The auction ends Wednesday at 10am. The pictures from the auction are of very low quality, however I posted them here to get a general view. Mostly old AF tech, I managed to make out a zotac H55 Mini-itx box in there and I happen to need an LGA 1156 board for the teamcup so . I see a few old towers. The one on the top looks like an e-machines. Either way, this should be fun.
