Long time EVGA forums member (since 04/2009) looking for a new forum to call home now that EVGA has pretty much ended itself. One of our mods (Cool GTX) suggested ExtremeHW. Just having a look around for now. Cheers.
Welcome fam! Cool GTX was a great help in our annual folding competition we had back in March. We are currently planning the next event which should take place in February. Let us know if you need anything.
Would you be willing to expand on "EVGA is ending itself"? This will help me to know if I need to expedite the mass driver downloads from their site to my NAS for all the EVGA tech I have.

Hey all, happy to be aboard, i'm an OG from OCN getting back into it.
Celebrating 15 years with the same HAF932 case this fall, and as many builds in it.
From i7 920 to i9 14900K; first SSD to only NVME and SSD's, X58 to Z790, 9800 GX2 to 3080 Ti, triple channel DDR3 to dual DDR5, cathode tubes to the modern RGB LED craze, this case has always been part of the ride...
Shoutout to GanjaSMK for the info; good to be back to an indie OC forum!
First pic late 2008 (?), 2nd late 2023...
Welcome to the Fam, Fam.

I've never had him in my car... But I did ride in his car. I don't remember what it smelled like before, but it definitely smelled like a pile of sweaty bros and beer farts afterward

Where possible I like to try and not interfere with the logo too much and may see if I can find a grey mat instead of black. But if that does not work out then I will keep what you said in mind as that may be the only way to go
I 100% am getting a black mat

Wait no support for 13900k is really dumb. Wonder how it would do with 32 thread maxed in beam ng.
If they support old gens, then people won't upgrade

Alright, I know some of the other old farts 'round here are parents too. So, how do you guys keep your children safe online? My kiddo is wanting to get his gaming PC back, he's already got an XBox (which I draconianly locked down temporarily), he's also got an android tablet. Now, the entire network is ran through a Windows PC connected to the WAN port on my router (VPN / ISP combiner box).
I guess the question is, what kind of software would exist out there that'd be compatible with all those types of devices? I mentioned the ISP computer part, just in case there was a whole network type solution I could implement. I just need to lock down the stores and him adding people he doesn't know (he's still learning that one). Maybe content by age bracket, browser restrictions? Idk. Help? LOLIf it's a windows computer, you can create him a Microsoft account and lock that down pretty well. Has allowable screen time, age restrictions and parent reports for activity.
Shouldn't be hard to do given that you already locked down the Xbox

Was interested in a possible purchase. I have the Aquacomputer block with the backplate made for the extra memory chips on the titan / 6GB cards. I know the Black and possibly the 780 6gb are B dies.
Oh, sorry. I don't want to part with my titans. I am trying to collect all of them. Backplates sound nice though. How bout you sell ME the backplates lol

Got a late start, I'll get some rigs fired up.

Another thought is if anyone has a GTX780 6GB or a Titan or Titan Black they would be willing to discuss options on, I am open to that.
I have all of those cards, what do you want to discuss? Again, do you have your .rom?

I'm bored due to FUNemployment. So I'm going to build a machine that's from the one era of hardware I sat out from this past 20 years: The DDR3 era.
Goals: It needs to not leave out too much. Lack of USB 3.0 front panel will be forgiven (mostly since I'm cheap and I'm not going to be buying the USB 3.0 fp header cables) but lack of USB 3.0 will not be. Bespoke cooling will be encouraged, fast spinning fans shall be shunned, and burning VRMs will be strongly discouraged.
Rules:
It needs to run decentlyIt needs to be quiet.
For ever piece of hardware I use that's post DDR3 I need to go back to the DDR2 era or older with another piece of hardware, defined as when it was commonly available. Adapters do not count extra, but the machine must need that older piece of hardware to operate. If what I have is a slightly newer version of what was available back then, it does not count.
Nice, post lots of pics. Let us know if you need anything.

Can't say I do, but I might be willing to attempt a bios mod for you. Do you have your original .rom?
OC.net milked me for a while.. Check if you as well...

Their new one called "Plus" is different from the "Premium" that you have. I still have the same tag as well from a F@H competition years ago. They essentially grandfathered anyone who had a premium account in and left it alone.
