  1. Yes, this is entirely different. There are some similarities, but many new voltages and settings than DDR4. For starters, the IMC being on the RAM itself is huge. SA voltage and bus transfer speeds are different. You will recognize a lot of familiar settings, but you will most definitely need to learn a few new ones too. This RAM also runs HOT.
  2. I completely agree. I actually just got a Unify-X, it's a fantastic board so far (1 DPC has been better than 2 DPC). It really has to do with what you are comfortable spending and intended use. It is unlikely we will see higher than the 5.2 Turbo of the 12900k on Raptor lake, just the extra 4 E-cores. If you want that silicon now, go 12900KS or wait 6-8 months for the 13900KS. Yea, I heard the G.Skill is ready to drop 7000-7200MHz kits soon as well. Might very well see 10000 broken by the summer.
  3. I smell a G7400 fire avatar on the horizon.
  4. I have not read previously to when I chimed in. I am assuming you AREN'T reusing that tubing correct? I wouldn't at this point. If you do HAVE to reuse it, I would suggest something like this in a healthy 90%+ alcohol bath. This will kill and clean your tubing, but won't cure the Ph imbalance that probably lead to it's growth.
  5. Well, even with a premix the Biocide and inhibitors get used. As to how much and how rapidly is dependent on a case by case basis. You raise a good question as to why it has not been spotted anywhere else and I honestly don't know. Did you ever run any green coolant previously? I run the MMM water and X1 as you know, but I treat every 3 months with a drop as my 3 WC systems are exposed to direct sunlight.
  6. A rockitcool delid with LM to a pure copper IHS and a good WB with excellent mounting pressure. A direct die kit being readily available would be nice. KS should be creame of the crop silicon. Meaning you should be able to run those clocks at significantly lower Vcore than a 12900K/KF.
  7. 18 months is quite a long time unless you have been adding biocide and/or inhibitor every 6 months or so. I don't know how well that white tubing shields sunlight, however if your system sat exposed to sunlight it is probably algae. It would be kind of weird for copper oxidation to coat the entire length of tubing in such a uniform manner. I do not believe that oxidized copper would have a high affinity for plastics or silicon. Usually it collects within the microfins of blocks.
  8. Does the green come off of the tubing if you use something abrasive? In my experience green only means Algae or Copper oxidation which can also appear blue.
  9. Quadro is close to half that. Mod my mods is currently out of stock, but lists it at $48 (Cheapest of the e-tailers). You could sign up for a stock alert. You can easily run 3 fans per header. 10. Happens all the time. Every good rad has battle wounds.
  11. Welcome to Dixie brother. Here in NC 100% disabled gets you a portion of tax off your primary residence. I am sure MO has something to that effect. Iv'e also got DV plates.
  12. THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

You are looking at a used 12900KF (SP85) that has been delidded and replaced with liquid metal and a pure copper IHS from rockitcool. The board is an ASUS Strix Gaming F z690 motherboard (DDR5). Sorry, no RAM included in this sale. Free shipping to lower 48 states (US sale only). This is over $150 OFF the new price of everything in this bundle for tech that has been used <2 months! As always, dual listed on OCN and will apply my usual discount here. $20 off listing here.

    Hello

Welcome to the forums! Stay away from ^. That old timer will have you buying things you never knew you needed.
  14. He's here on EHW, you can ask him yourself. @Outsider
  15. Welcome to the forums! Thanks for the contribution to the team folding effort.
  16. I would wager almost everyone here also has a OCN login. Well except for ShawnB
  17. Has to be the 9900k for me. Not because it's the most memorable from my youth, but for what it started. The 9900k is singlehandedly the reason I am wedged so far into tech. First time I ever broke 5GHz reliably. First time I ever delidded, first time I ever used a custom loop. That chip is solely responsible for my addiction in it's current state. Therefor it has to be my favorite by default.
  18. Totally fine. I recently had PPCS custom make me a Front panel that can mount fans and rads. I know they make a version for the non-xl variant. Not cheap though and I don't know if you are budgeted for it. Images wont post in normal orientation no matter what I do, sorry.
  19. Welcome to the forums. Good thing you are out of the shadows as a non-lurker now!
  20. Won't matter in a few months when they drop the 4 series. Those people who had a partial chub would see a full on flattening of their E-peen.
  21. YOU need to be the change you want to see in this world.
  22. I have the high speed ones. Sorry! Something went wrong! WWW.AMAZON.COM
  23. All 4-pin PWM. Most running off of AC Octo's. I can't say that I have ever noticed an issue, nor that I should have been looking for one. I'll keep an eye out for it.
  24. Without knowing anything about the chip, that would be my first attempt. Just make sure you are adjusting your RAM and Cache (NB/SB) accordingly. FSB OC effects all three.
