For the same reason as cures. There is no money in a cure, only the medicine. Why make something modular when consumers are forced to spend gobs of money every iteration?

So, the 3090 is off the table then? My size is extra shmedium. Please include a roll of 2-ply Charmin with the sweater to heighten the effect.

Just in case anyone beside D'Jango doesn't see this as Satire. This is a joke guys.
  4. Finally integrated the 4 port KVM switch and the home lab is up and running. NAS, Bench and 775 Bench are all swappable now. I took the SSD off the 775 and removed and formatted the drive with disk part. Attempting to reinstall win7.
  5. I don't believe orientation matters. I did read a statistical article recently about the flow perf of QDC3 and QDC4, though I can't recall the actual source. The flow improvement from 3-4 is 2x lower at 3.5GPM. If I didn't already have $750 worth of QDC3's I would be all over the 4's. Found it. It's an old article though 2013 Quick Disconnect Roundup - ExtremeRigs.net WWW.XTREMERIGS.NET Page 1Page 2Page 3Page 4Page 56. View All Quick Disconnects (QDCs) are nifty little connectors that let you quickly remove an item from your loop without having to drain the loop. This is very useful for example...
  6. Thats pretty good, you could break 16000 if you pushed your mem a bit further. Looks like it has a bit of headroom.
  7. Indeed. Greg poached me for ETF too. We had our differences in the past, but I wouldn't change the experience for anything. All BS aside, nothing matters more than your health and by extension family health. As a nurse, I see suffering everyday and when anyone is going through that, every other issue ceases to matter. Sorry for the way things paned out brother, be well.
  8. I really need to recreate those EHW toe tag stickies. Throwback pic!
  9. The man with the 1994 sweater held firm.
  10. Be careful before you also end up with a fire avatar. :)
  11. I would be more worried about your MOBO PCI-e slot than the card. That card can handle 120w no problem if properly cooled.
  12. Sorry man. Thats been the energy of 2021 and this year. I have had more RMA's, failing components in the past year and a half than since 2000.
  13. Just wait till he farts @The Pook. That should qualify.

    FreeNAS Server

2nd LGA 775 board from ebay was a dud (Dead USB). I got pissed off and threw the delidded 9900k in there. It is up and running. You are looking at one fast ass NAS.
  15. Ultimate HWBot benching music.
  16. I think you are probably right. I have come to the same conclusion. I have felt for awhile now that newer drivers were limiting vBIOS tweaking. I would see if you can find older drivers. Or perhaps use DDU, re-start and see if you can flash the card on the default windows GPU drivers without installing up to date ones.
  17. If it's an evga/super flower PSU, I have a ton of extensions. Would be more than happy to send to you. Caveat: They are white.
  18. It works as intended. It is possible though I guess.
  19. Good point on the 12900KS variants, they should be SP 100+. Meaning they should all be able to hit 5.3GHz all core at <1.45v. I have no idea how well it folds though. I am leaning towards 5950x as well. Purely from a TDP/heat POV.
