  1. Thank you both! This has been quite the learning experience, that's for sure. I went ahead and placed an order to PPCs for a couple extensions as well as some cable combs for the Nvidia 12-pin extension as its a bit unwieldy. Shipping from them was basically same cost as the order itself, so just did Ground. So maybe mid to late this upcoming week can finish up. After the tube runs are done, will use the leak tester and if everything looks good, can finally fill it up!
  2. Here's an idea. Maybe parents should be more active in controlling screen time, and what their 14 year old does online.
  3. Well it took me a long time and many failed tubes, but I finally got this piece. That just leaved the return piece from the bottom radiator to the pump. That piece is tricky because it's a very tight fit so I am seeing if I can find another fitting to just do a piece of straight tube there. EDIT: And I don't have an extension fitting, so looks like another order for one as I jut can't get that tight a bend to work.
  4. Cheers, glad I could help. I only use 3/8" ID 5/8" OD for my soft tubing these days precisely because its a thick wall.
  5. If I had to guess, I'd guess what you have is the 3/8" ID 1/2" OD Tygon. Edit: Ah, so its not Tygon either? Yeah. I think if you order the 3/8" ID 5/8" OD Tygon, you'll be much happier.
  6. I don't think that Tygon is 3/8" ID 5/8" OD. A 1/8 of an inch wall would equate to 3.175mm, closer to the Mayhems reading.
  7. Out of the 3 options they have for 3/8" ID tubing if just using barbs and not compressions, that seems to be the thickest wall.
  8. This? 3/8" ID x 5/8" OD x 1/8" Wall Tygon® A-60-G Industrial Grade Tubing | U.S. Plastic Corp. WWW.USPLASTIC.COM This tubing outperforms neoprene, EPDM, and other general-purpose tubing. It has a wide range of applications such as gaskets, abrasion-r...
  9. Precisely. Now, I've never had anything other than a drug test prior to starting employment anywhere, but I'd just rather not tempt fate.
  10. Totally understand E, and we thank you for keeping it ad free for as long as you did. But gotta pay the bills somehow.
  11. LOL! Well I do live in Colorado, but I do not partake. I'm too paranoid about "hey random drug test!" at work, so I'd rather play it safe. May be legal in state, but companies don't like it.
  12. If it's just for gaming, 8-core is plenty. I only opted for the 5900X due to deal and to spread out the heat. Also looked like maybe it had higher boosts?
  13. Very nice job Kyle. I'm still writing mine. I tend to write in spurts in between bouts of writers block I am noticing.
  14. I'm in no rush. Will properly drive my 1440p display for it's first time for a bit and maybe look at that next year come bonus time.
  15. Yep, fully agree with this. My point was more around the idea that Zen 4 was not launching with 3d-cache, and frankly that made sense to me seeing how 5800X3D was. Zen 4 is going to 1MB L2 per core, so they are definitely increasing regular cache.
  16. Yeah, I don't think many, including myself, know/knew how many more pixels even just going from 1080p to 1440p translates to. It was an eye opener for sure. I agree that is the goal for now. I am also hoping that in the next year or two they make some smaller 4k OLEDs I can use as a monitor. Really liked the LG C1 I looked at at Best Buy a few weeks ago, but even 48" was just too much in my opinion. At least for my use. But it's definitely where I want to get to!
  17. Eh 3d cache seemed like a one off to me then a feature in all products, at least as it is right now.
  18. It's funny how much resolution changes things. I upgraded from a 1080p to a 1440p monitor in 2019 and suddenly I wasn't happy with my 4790k/GTX 980, while on 1080p it was still perfectly fine performance wise. Though should be noted I wasn't always playing the latest and greatest. But once I upgraded to 1440p, there were suddenly situations where I couldn't effectively run certain games at the setting I wanted, or even at all.
  19. Wait, so this is all core boost? Very impressive.
  20. Yeah do have to admit that was a great facepalm moment.
  21. Thanks, will definitely pick this up down the road, next time it's on sale. Have some stuff already waiting for me to finish the new rig.
  22. Yeah if I was full time using a filter, I'd get something similar to this. I only used the fuel filter during Blitz Part 2 and subsequent distilled water flushing runs.
