  1. Think he got banned. Don't remember the context so won't speak out of turn on that front.
  2. Nice. I gotta do a coolant change in my car as well in about 9k more miles per the maintenance schedule.
  3. Toying with that idea actually, but currently out of budget scope.
  4. Well there's a reason Linus flipped Nvidia the bird lol.
  5. How interesting. Yeah I have at times noticed a lack of beef here as well. As for water, there's no shortage of regular drinking water. It seems to specifically be distilled that nobody has.
  6. Maybe you could fit 80's there. I don't see any specific mounting holes for any. Personally I wouldn't want small noisy fans in here. Really one of my only gripes with this case. Could have been made slightly wider.
  7. Necroing this thread since its mine. Wow it took me way longer to get to this build than I ever intended, but I guess better late then never. So, still going with the O11-Dynamic (regular, not an XL so there is no rear 120mm exhaust). Sorry @Avacado I am going with the Hardware Labs 360GTX mounted at the top and 360GTS mounted on the bottom. For fans I am using a total of 9 Silent Wings 3. 3 for each rad and 3 for the side of the case. I am not doing push/pull. Still undecided on what I am doing for final fan orientation for intake/exhaust. I even had this idea that maybe I should intake on both top and bottom rads and exhaust through front...I don't know...
  8. This arrived today. I forgot to grab the 90s and 45s I also bought for the picture. And to be clear there is a lot more tubing too. Shout out to @ArchStanton for the idea to get a Wix 33003 fuel filter for the loop prep. It has 3/8" barbs. Now the only thing stopping me is....no distilled water to be found around here.
  9. Interesting, all out of stock here except supposedly one Walmart clear on the other side of town. I looked at 2 grocery stores, 2 Walmarts, 3 pharmacies, and a Target by me. All out.
  10. Did you need the iGPU? I had a 5600X up for sale (new - unopened, but had it for a year) for $200 shipped in the Classifieds. Ad expired this week, but still have it.
  11. So I was getting the last of the parts I needed and wanted to get started on my Mayhems kit and flushing. But then my last road block to actually starting this project is....no distilled water in stock anywhere? What the heck! Curious if other folks are seeing that issue in their area and what fellow water coolers are using instead?
  12. Hey, I remember that nyan cat avatar. Welcome!
  13. Functionally where I am at with it. I want to switch, but that's held me back.
  14. Wow! So what's a safe max voltage to give the 4790k? Most I got out of mine stable was 4.6Ghz. Was a little disappointed. I only went as high as 1.35v though. That said, it's kept me going for the past 7+ years. I also have another computer in the house with one.
  15. Those are some fine MSRPs! Just curious what you don't like about your 2700X?
  16. Wow, good to know thanks. If its thick, that makes me feel better about it's longevity. I already have some spatulas.
  17. Good info, thanks. Yeah MX-4 or NT-H1 has usually been my go-to paste, MX-4 usually more than the other. I'll give MX-5 a try.
  18. Puting in the order for SW3's now. Also need to grab some thermal paste while at it. Any big difference between MX-4 and MX-5 I should know about? Skipping that KP-x included with the Optimus block. I don't want to repaste stuff every 6 months. Same goes for Kryonaut. This stuff was good when first applied but just doesn't last.
  19. That's the American way! Or Canadian, or wherever you live (I forget).
  20. The first computer I ever built from scratch completely had an E8500 Wolfdale. So I understand.
  21. OK, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks. Yeah I have 3 bottles of pre-mix. I am not sure if ModMyMods even makes a concentrate for ModWater? Mayhems clear was hard to find in stock anywhere.
  22. What's the biggest difference between the two? To clarify, I a just looking for distilled water for flushing, my Blitz kit, general loop prep. I am using ModWater clear for the coolant.
