I'm still increasing clocks because 70% is something new in trying, but currently +80. Are yours water cooled?

It does matter, but the power generated to run another CPU/MB/RAM isn't as big of a loss unless you're talking running them at under 4x. Then it becomes questionable. I think 4x is roughly 10% and 2x is 30% decreases, but Not sure how that is on PCI-E 4.0.

I think the short answer is seeing the folding capabilities here: https://folding.lar.systems/gpu_ppd/brands/nvidia/folding_profile/gm204_geforce_gtx_980_4612 But, if it were me, I'd probably sell quite a bit of it with the going prices right now and hit some sniffing groups that track RTX 3 series and snag more up with the money you get. You can kind of see a trend on here of people using mining style configurations to fold, and most of them are less wattage than running multiple CPU's and Motherboards to run them all even if the slot speeds suffer.

I guess I'll tell everyone my little story since someone mentioned FLAC which is my trigger word. I have, as of today, 48,361 FLAC files. The decades worth of time spent on this library is just unreal. From all sorts of apps to get tagging right and album art to just getting them to play on certain devices. Even have them on Plex and streamed them to cars. I've had a few usb flash drives and even went to a portable SSD case with a Samsung Evo 860 SSD. One day, it took 9 hours just for 1 of my cars to index the tracks! Oh yeah, I couldn't pick which tracks to leave off the drive to help with that. I'm that guy who closes the car door with a calibrated mic and pink noise playing inside while I tweak the eq from outside. But, I threw in the towel in December and used the free Apple Music subscription that came with my phone plan and have not touched the library since. I have re-claimed a good bit of my life now that I'm not dealing with all of that anymore. My older ears can't notice the decrease in quality as much as they used too.

Oh wow, I got my HFM Live Folding Client Stats hosted and synchronizing via FTP for free again. Not too hard to setup. I actually think it was easier than dropbox was. Link in sig.
