Technology is already progressing at a pace that is unreal, combine that with the push companies (especially Nvidia) are making in light of AI, the above news is not too surprising. I think the push for raw power for AI will fall into other sectors bringing us technological advances across the board.

I am interested in seeing what Blackwell brings us in the gaming GPU market. All is rumour right now but would love to see what sort of uplift it has over Ada Lovelace. Considering the real push for AI happened after Ada, it is conceivable that Blackwell will bring significant performance over the past gen, only time will tell.

(Gazing into my crystal bic pen...) I predict that if Nvidia releases a consumer Blackwell card it will either be so neutered that it's like the next generation of card (an additional low 20% increase performance at most) OR it will be so far out of price reach that it will be like buying during the pandemic again.Anyone have a spare kidney?

NVIDIA is planning to limit shipments of GeForce RTX 40 "Ada" GPUs to make room for the next-gen RTX 50 "Blackwell" gaming lineup.

Nvidia head: "Why aren't our latest GPU's increasing in price like previous releases?"

Nvidia Flunky: "There's no pandemic to create a shortage to drive up demand for the smaller supply driving up the price..."

Nvidia head: "We're gonna reduce the supply of the RTX 40 series to make room for when the 50 series releases ...."

    I just ordered 3x AVC DS12025B12U 12V 1.05A 12CM 12025 double ball bearing 4-pin PWM DC fans.

Can you tell me about them?  Because I looked up the data sheet on AVC which was hard to find & I cannot find it again, as I lost the page.  I found that they don't list a 1.05A version of the fan, so that means if the 0.7A they list does 130cfm or so, then it should be louder & faster right?

    Thanks

Is this any help for ya?

    Update:

Valve will no longer allow Steam to even be installed on older CPU's now, its not just a Windows 7 thing.  They are now actively blocking Steam installations on Linux on older machines too.  This actually is now directly effecting me, and youtube content I was preparing to make (playing games on old rigs).  Literally cannot play games, I've paid for, on hardware that's officially supported by the game now.

I was gonna suggest maybe using GOG Galaxy to access your steam games after merging/intergrating the accounts but it's requiring windows 8.0 now also. 😞 Sorry.

Only seems like yesterday they bought that feature online. I wondered how much traction it really got among users.

Here's where they announced it coming to the Windows insiders program....   10/20/2021

  6. Say what you like about them but TechLand does give some value for your money. This game just celebrated it's 9 year anniversary and has a sequel that's 2 years old but they still have events for the community to participate in and get items from. Picture from Dying Light 1 surrounded by dead zombies I kicked to death in the latest event. Other shot is the event notification on steam. 🙂 Edit: Wife doesn't like second game as much as first,I haven't purchased it because it has more parkour and that's not my thing. 😉  (more killing, less gymnastics for me)

  7. Went by WD's site today and seen where they offer coupon codes for members when purchasing direct from the site. e.g. 15% off up to 5 new items in 1 purchase for those 55 & over can be redeemed 1x per month. Plus they give 15% towards the next purchase of $50 or more when you recycle through them "With Easy Recycle, you can safely dispose of NAS systems and internal or external HDDs and SSDs. We will recycle devices from any manufacturer, not just Western Digital."

Can't use them together, but I know some people here purchase alot of drives, ect.    🙂

I tried that once in person with a xbox controller at a Walmart. (don't judge me, I'm not usually a corrupter LOL)

I was mighty impressed the dude checked the serial number on the receipt to the controller. LMAO.

    ❤️

lol, this is a store that has 1 person ck'n out people and the rest are self ck out (except electronics & automotive),then they pay someone to ck your purchases against your receipt as you leave. You think they WOULDN'T ck every possible money loss? They STILL won't let me use the employee rest room after I scan my $200-$300 worth of groceries.🤣

They need to make test on uncommon game. Optimised game test are a joke. Am sure either Ark Ascended or Beam NG will show one of the two brand completly fail latency wise.  AMD seem to have more issue with older game than nvidia for me.

Still am impressed the 7900xt seem to do well!

ROTFL the older games were at least honest and threw the Nvidia logo right across the screen and said something about plays best on Nvidia so you knew they were in the green teams pocket. Now you have to look a bit deeper to see who supporting what the best. But they are still all taking money from 1 team or another in my opinion, otherwise you wouldn't see such differences when propriatary tech is turn off.

$1.5B seems like an insane amount to pay to get epic to make Disney themed Fortnite skins.

Makes me wonder if they have an idea what the unreal engine license is gonna start costing the entertainment industry?

The change affects some non-game developers.

Disney uses the unreal engine for some of their projects.

Thanks for the update. I assume all is ok if you were to switch to "Simple" again?

Just ck'd it in Simple mode and it's working right even on Chrome now.  So,in summary my page shows how it's supposed to in either browser in Simple or comprehensive mode now. 🙂

I have just installed a new version which addresses some of the truncation issue, again I can see all the latest colums and I cannot replicate a situation where they are missing.

Dude! I found my issue! I switched over to the comprehensive setting and now everything shows up! (as you described in

  13. I don't know if maybe if something that's messed up on my end or what. Since your update Now it shows like it's supposed to when I'm signed out, but when I sign in it goes right back to only the latest reviews column being visible. If no one else is having an issue then I'll just figure it's me. Still happening in FireFox and Chrome both.🤷‍♂️

I installed a new version of the plugin around 8 hours ago, so I would expect this to be sorted. I will run some tests shortly.

Here's shot's of what I get signed out and signed in. Refreshing makes no difference. 😞

  15. Tried refreshing using Ctrl + F5 while logged in and made no difference. Tried logging out, and had 2 of the 3 columns (right & center)refreshing didn't help, logging in made the center disappear also.Same results using Brave browser.  Edit: I also tried clearing the browser cache, cookies, browsing & download history with no improvement. So it isn't a case of a cached web page loading.

Happens to me using the latest version of Firefox on Win 11 when I'm not signed in. Issue clears up after I sign in.

Mine on Windows 10 is happening signed in or out. even tried signing out then back in and was still the same. At least in FireFox. Is also happening in Chrome on Windows 10.

  17. Is it just my Comp/Browser or are other people missing all the post in the Latest Post and Latest News sections? The Latest Reviews section is there and fine. Here's a screen shot of the page.
