^^^^^^^ sounds quite possible,it seems I remember the times it's happened with me there have been images posted in the general area of where I was going to read. BTW, I'm using the latest update of FireFox with ABP enabled.

Right, seems like it's really random though on how often it happens. I thinks it's done it twice in the last 2-3 days of ck'n threads with me.

On mine, the read icon is unread items. My new items in threads I'm following show up in the bell shaped notifications icon(either so & so responded to my post,or so & so posted in such & such thread). Only items I'm not already subscribed to show up in the red balloon icon. I look in the balloon when nothings happening where I already been. ?

lol,some things outta your list I still use, IDE cable,VGA cable, cd rom,using a 290w psu in a system as we speak(compact),I BELIEVE it's a ati 3650 that I'm using in a dell with a p4 cpu. DDR2 ram in 4 systems. They're all running Windows 10 is the sick part. ? Maybe not the speediest,but for basic browsing,they get by.

I downloaded the image using the browser on that Mint comp,stored in in Pictures, uploaded 1 from there,then drag it from there also. Maybe a FireFox/Arch issue?

Gonna try posting a different pic from the SAME network, but on a comp running Mint Mate 20 with FireFox 83.0 for Mint on it. No addons. Lets see how it works.

rotfl, I finally forced myself to toss a running p4 Willamette system 2 years ago (after pulling the rdram sticks)because I couldn't convince myself I'd find a use for it when there were a pair of core2duo systems sitting next to it like "why are we with this geriatric case..." lol, in my case,kinda hoarding. I have a few WD 20Gb ide drives that each have XP sp3 installed on them a friend gave me when they upgraded the comps @ the college he was working at.I have some floppies but no drive for them,8 & 16 Mb video cards still sitting in a bin with some modems and other parts.And that's just off the top of my head.? I also rebuild old comps & give them away,but I try to upgrade them as much as possible,so most of the parts sitting around probably need to be recycled.I just need to work up the get go.?

lol, I went on line looking for an 8 pin to six pin converter before I looked again and realized 1 of the 8 pins was a 6+2 pin. I was like "F*^K me..." cause I spent close to 20 minutes trying to figure out HOW I was gonna power the video card.?

Not a FAN cut,but one time I ran my finger down the side of an amd duron cooler to pull the build up off and ended up with 5 or 6 slices gushing blood from my finger tip.To make matters worse when I did it I hollered a profanity loud enough to get the wifes attn so she comes to see what's the matter and ask me how I got paper cuts working on the computer.?

Smoked a bit until the oil that'd blown by into the exhaust finally burnt off but it actually survived. ?

lol,my brother in law did that to a van of mine(sort of) He kept adding a quart of oil when the oil light came on not realizing it was coming on @ stop signs/lights because I had the idle too low. Ended up jumping timing about 180 degrees. We drained 2 gallons of oil out & were still above the full mark.

lol,that's like when I tried "delicately" moving the radiator on my AIO while it was still running from the back to the top of the case and the stiff rubber tubing pulled it outta my fingers and tossed it against the bottom of the case. THAT'S probably why I'm looking @ having to rebuild my AIO cooler. ? I do stupid shyte without thinking sometimes.

Let's all make a thread with our most embarrassing things we've done when working on a comp. I'll start with my latest screw up. ? While I had Windows installing the latest greatest feature update to my wifes computer in the background,I noticed it still had the AMD software on it even though I put my old nvidia card on for her instead. Soo,I figured "Hey,I'll just run the AMD uninstaller to remove it while I'm waiting on the other stuff..." BIG mistake! I ended up with a hard drive with SIX partitions, Windows wouldn't recognize any password,and couldn't even boot into safe mode because it always booted to some new account that started in hibernate mode.? I ended up having to put the drive on a different comp,copy her files to an external drive,and perform a clean install of Windows on a wiped drive.? Next time I will wait and run ONE program @ a time when Windows is updating.

Ummm,I guess I need to work on getting my polls a bit tighter.?
