ugh, sad news, another old fav gone with the wind: Melanie, Singer Who Performed at Woodstock and Topped Charts With ‘Brand New Key,’ Dies at 76 VARIETY.COM Melanie, the singer who performed at Woodstock and had pop hits with 'Brand New Key' and 'Lay Down,' has died at age 76. R.I.P. Melanie. Seems like a little piece of something in me dies with each one that passes; or as another long gone old fav might say were he still here today, listen to them, children of the night. What music they make... music was the life..., 'Renfrow.'

Perhaps it's all something akin to (e.g.) Moore's law in an age of diminishing expectations... -

Perhaps, but I went with Tidal Hi-Fi Plus a few years back. It provides better quality streams than Spotify. They also give me a big discount because of my military service. Some ethnic stuff

I had more fun being 20 in the 70s than I do being 70 in the 20s. -- Joe Walsh ...and thanks too, Stevie.

bits of joe walsh trivia: Stevie Nicks was the lady who helped him get through the night after his four-year-old daughter was killed while his wife was taking her to school in Boulder, CO. Their marriage eventually fell apart over their loss ( see: Joe Walsh: My Life in 15 Songs ); also, there's this: to be continued...

Yeah, there's plenty of that sort of content available via the 'net.

With reference to a release scheduled later this year, specifically S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl (which I have been looking forward to)... ...so i feel like i've been growing a third eye in my gut lately (note: it's not a zit--i tried squeezing it, it wouldn't pop); and I've been re-watching the HBO series Chernobyl, which I find fascinating each time I re-watch it; not only because it's very well done, but also because I was actually in the relative vicinity when the reactor blew its top back in 1986 (I was stationed at Leipheim, GE; and lived off-base in a berg called Burgau, GE--see the map that follows below the video). Anyway, I do recall the neighbors cautioning us about eating things like locally sourced venison and/or locally grown vegetables; and I've always wondered if I'd eventually suffer any ill effects as a result of the incident (like growing a third eye in my gut). ...lastly, a map of where I was when the Cesium 137 was falling out of the sky follows, accompanied by a color coded list of just how much ground level radiation collected in the various areas over the period of the first year following the catastrophe:

Pentium 5 - a Rare Look Into the CPU That Could Have Been But Never Was - Slashdot HARDWARE.SLASHDOT.ORG Long-time Slashdot reader alaskana writes: In late 2022 it was revealed that early samples of what was to be the "Pentium 5" processor... Sounds like you'd like an upgrade though. -
It's not about t-shirts; it is about a coherent/cohesive marketing strategy. But do as you will.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion; mine's just based more on commonly accepted marketing strategy.

I typically give away things to those deserving, mostly because I can't take it with me. Now that I could use a new to me truck though... something like those would do
