I'm too tired for that today. I need a vacation!

Oh, now you are both going soft on me. Geez. Might as well call it the monthly folding gathering instead of competition.

I sure hope you win next month. That would be so great to see after all of the trouble you've gone through lately with your computers.

I'm going to go drink some tea and eat some crumpets now. Toodaloo.

Pretty sure something on the x370 Pro motherboard is fried. That's what the 960 is on, so it's been down since about 5pm yesterday.  It says there's a usb overload and shuts down. No usb devices are plugged in internal or external even and it still does it.

I'll fiddle with it today, but I may need to swap it for the fx8320 and board.

Is the USB error a windows error, or do you get the error at post? If you can get into the BIOS try disabling the USB ports one by one and see if the error goes away. One of the controllers might have just bit the dust.

It was at post, and would shut down within 15 seconds. I tried plugging a few keyboards and into every slot on the motherboard, and even tried plugging back in the front panel usb. None of the would let me hit del to enter the bios at post. Tried cmos clear, battery removal, sat overnight, same. I just swapped the guts with the 8320 guts, and I'm back up and folding, but it looks like you guys just took the lead from us. That's pretty cool!

Weird. I have been getting the same USB overload warning on my folding rig. I think windows did something stupid.

I think I plugged an x1 riser into an x16 slot incorrectly, and fried it 😂

960 is in now. Wanted to do that a few days ago. I think we might lose some ground, but I'll give her all she's got.

Got the 580 pegged on the Rev limiter...

Don't think the k420 will put up a decent fight. The quadro 4000's I got awhile back don't wanna play nice so they collect dust till I can figure it out.

A little update/cleanup on the ETF system. I added the drops of inhibitor/biocides, cleaned the fan filters which were pretty clean (no dust in the case at all either), I added the ML120 fan to the radiator and added the EVGA RTX 3060Ti XC for now (temperature testing).

I had to remove a plastic connector from the pcb, but it's for a 970 and it fit the k5000 perfectly. Now I have it folding stock to meet November's sample submission minimum so @Avacadoand I can duke it out.

Bring it. Though I did help you by showing you my hand already. Maybe I shouldn't help with your vBIOS mod :naughty_devil2:

The AIO should suffice, I returned the WB for it. I don't believe the VRAM actually need the cooling, but the GPU and VRM do. I saw temps with the IR thermometer hitting 75c with the voltage @1.100mv. If you are going to beat me, you will have to find a more clever way than zip tied aluminum heatsinks to the VRM to get moar juice.

My VRM heat transfers to that big heatsink that covers my card.

Looks good @BWG!

Update on the 3060Ti in the ETF case, did not work so well. Both cards dropped a few points per day, 2080Ti maybe because of going from 3.0 x16 to 3.0 x8 and the 3060Ti because of a power limit applied to keep the temps under 70°C because of the higher ambient temps in that case.
So I decided to change hardware and go for the 3060 LHR instead, card runs cool with a +250mhz OC on the core (2175mhz avg).
