I guess I missed the idea. But looking at this, did you 3-way NVLink 2x 2080 Ti's and a 3090?

There are always those guys that need to be a bit more crazy, that list proves it 😂

Also, are you looking for the new 7900XTX smoke edition?

👍 great entertainment but...nope, not looking for the 7900XTX smoke edition 🤪.

I actually had that happen a few years back (HDMI to DP connector cable had gotten wet some days before), but when my card 'went to the digital beyond', it also had lit-up star-nebula like effects with lightning inside in addition to a bigger bang...s.th. I do not want to experience ever again (though warranty came through).

Yikes. The bad news continues with RDNA3.

My biggest fear is having some crackling fireworks on one of the expensive boards caused by a GPU, I'd hate to do the warranty claim on that one..

Sadly, cause I was hoping it would do some crazy things. And not this kind of crazy 🙈

@Bastiaan_NL, @Avacado et al...per earlier discussions on recent EEC 'requirements', I suggested back then that HWBot had caved in to certain interests (along with pushing 3DM to add the EEC field) and thus ended up skewing the tests and results. They could have / should have done the right thing and added an artifact scanner instead into 3Dm SystemInfo....I had mentioned some very old ones I still use, but I ran across this a few days ago...a much more recent special ROG version of Furmark. It not only adds an artifact scanner that works, it also adds Vulkan driver ability...good stuff. The artifact scanner works on all my cards I tested it on...different gens of AMD, Nvidia - no skewing !

That is a great feature for sure. I feel the same way about skewed scores reflected in official scores on HWbot as I do in the American political system (Not to start a politics debate), just caught in the middle and will go along with whatever the majority wants. Wile I am frustrated at people submitting scores that are completely unstable, most of what we do on HWbot is vastly unstable and far from a 24/7 OC. While I feel sorry for the admins over there, I do feel like adding and enforcing that feature will be tough, be it a great addition should they choose to. I think it would be interesting to enforce  an artifact scanner in competitions or tournaments.

People will always try to find a way to gain an edge in competition. LOD mods, software version subversion, screenshot clipping, ambient temperature tweaking and yes, even sandbagging (Annoying AF). 🤷‍♂️
