Marketplace Requirements & Rules

 

 

 

 

Marketplace Section Requirements 

 

In order to post an advert in our Marketplace Section, you will need to meet one of the following: 

 

• Be a Premium Subscriber 
  Or
• Be a member with over 45 Reputation Points & have been a user for over 30 days.
  
  *No exceptions will be made*

 

 

Buyers
 

 

• Ask questions of seller prior to sending payment including requesting delivery confirmation, tracking, and/or insurance, if desired and offered.
• Send payment and shipping address in a timely manner.
• Let seller know that item(s) have arrived, and communicate any problems encountered.
• All payment information must be exchanged privately via site PM. You can exchange details using other methods, but we cannot guarantee their security.

 

Sellers

 

• Accurately describe item(s) for sale including price, shipping options (services and destinations), and payment methods accepted.
• Sellers may not sell for another (by proxy) and may not sell items that are not in hand such as pre-orders.
• Sellers must show at least one image of the sale item with a piece of paper with their username and date on to verify item is in hand. 
• Reply to buyer questions in a timely manner.
• Provide payment information in a timely manner.
• Securely package item(s) for shipping.
• Let buyer know that item(s) have shipped including tracking number, if applicable.
• Work with buyer if problems are encountered.
• All payment information must be exchanged privately via site PM. You can exchange details using other methods, but we cannot guarantee their security.
• Sellers are subject to a 2% sales commissions which will be taken by ExtremeHW at point of completed sale.
• When you are happy with your sale, please click on "Set as Complete" and mark as "Sold" When asked which member to fill in, please fill in the username of the persons who purchased your item. 
• Sellers are to sell items at the known RRP at the time of purchase or below the price to which they purchased it for. We will not accept sellers selling to make a profit. Proof of purchase may be necessary in some cases.
• Your sale item MUST include at least one image of the product with a piece of paper stating your EHW username as well as the days date. 
• You must have the item in your possession. We do not accept proxy sale adverts or pre-order sale adverts. 
   

*Failure to adhere to items in red will result in your advert being deleted*

Traders
 

• Ask questions and clearly define terms of transaction such as timing of shipments (concurrent shipping or shipping upon receipt) and shipping service used.
• Provide shipping address in a timely manner.
• Securely package item(s) for shipping.
• Let other party know that item(s) have shipped including tracking number, if applicable.
• Let other party know that item(s) have arrived, and communicate any problems encountered.
• Work with other party if problems are encountered. 
• All payment information must be exchanged privately via site PM. You can exchange details using other methods, but we cannot guarantee their security.
• When you are happy with your trade, please click on "Set as Complete" and mark as "Traded" When asked which member to fill in, please fill in the username of the persons who you traded with.

 

Appraisals

 

• Be specific with the item(s) you post. Provide links if possible, but at a minimum, provide full model information. Only computer and other tech items may be posted for appraisal. 
• When you are happy with your appraisal, please click on "Set as Complete" and mark as "Completed Appraisal" When asked which member to fill in, please fill in the username of the persons who's appraisal you accepted. 
• Appraisal listings cannot be used to sell your item. Once appraised, please create a new sale advert.

 

Terms & Conditions 

 

• ExtremeHW does not accept any responsibility for any failed transactions, disputes or scams.
• Any use of the Marketplace section is at the users risk.
• Anyone found abusing the system or those found and proven to be scammers will be permanently banned from the site and its services.  
• Refunds will not be given on sale commissions taken by ExtremeHW. 
• Refunds will not be given for Featured Adverts.
• Marketplace Section is subject to alteration without notice. 
• Requirements and Rules for the marketplace section are subject to change without notice.
• ExtremeHW is cannot be held responsible for any accidental Personally Identifiable Information submitted by users.
