My Plex server/Folding@Home

Started life as an AMD fx8300....

 

As of today it is a Xeon E5-2665, Pretty sure on processor is dead so only running one ATM.

Chinese X79 Dual CPU motherboard,

Samsung ddr3 ecc 8gbx4, 

PowerColor RX580 Red Dragon 8GB, Nvidia Quadro k2000 and k420,

DeepCool GAMMAXX400

EVGA 750BQ

Teamgroup AX2 1TB SSD (boot)

?AMD R3 480gb SSD?

2x Seagate 4TB Terascale HDD and 1x MaxDigitalData 4TB in Windows Raid 5,

stuffed in a Rosewill RSV-R4000 4U case.

im gonna have to pick up another e5-2665 later, the chip in cpu1 socket will not boot when installed into CPU0 socket....but up and running with no data loss nor reinstall needed. board will run UEFI out of box.

Is one of those motherboards put together in todays markets using older Chipsets that you can pick up for real cheap ?

 

As its also a plex server, are you storing your data on a NAS ? I only ask as your internal storage is small but I guess it depends on the size of your Plex library

No NAS. Everything is on those drives, atm have 3.6Tb free space left with room to expand for 2 more drives.

 

 

Board is that type, based on c602 chipset though.

Ha that is my bad. Im using the Dark Theme and you must have copied and pasted the other storage drive details as it comes up blanked out on the dark theme lol. So yeah, you have more storage than I thought

Sweet, I personally use as a NAS for my mass storage, so I run all my Plex media off of that. Never had an issue fortunately.

Nice rigs for their respective purposes, should serve you well for a while. Don't forget to input them into Rig Creator
