Well, I left the voltages unchanged because I was worried about the already many frequent power spikes of up to 120W on the PCIE slot. I figured adding voltage to get another 100MHz would be asking for trouble. I might explore this trouble at a later date though. Things seem healthy enough right now with 65-70W average and the 120W spikes. I'm guessing that normally the clocks would be throttling often to stay under 75W if I had not raised the power limits. The card is under water with sinks on chips and fans flowing on both sides of the card. It stays like 25C while folding, which is great.

We're having some crazy warm weather and with that some weird storms tonight. We just had a brown-out that took down 3 of my machines, including my ETF machine and Michele's ETF machine. I'm going to keep them shut down until I feel confident that the situation is over, which might be tomorrow. Hopefully I do not lose any work units, but I think that they will be fine.

I was wondering why I was only getting 95% GPU utilization. Well the Ryzen 1600 had a single thread pegged to 100%, so I guessed it was bottlenecking somehow since it was running at default clocks and JEDEC RAM speed. I bumped CPU core to 4000MHz and the RAM up to 3200MT/s and now it's at 100% usage. Who knew folding could get CPU bottlenecked? 5% more utilization means a lot when folding 24/7.

Could not push my 1050ti with my fx 6100 was getting 250k pdd meanwhile my mobile 1050ti with a i5 8300h was getting 450/500k.

I think it an nvidia thing because my 6800xt was getting full ppd almost on the 6100.

And yes Vram clock do increase ppd sometime.

Hah I went jogging anyway even though it's like 100% humidity, 85F, and looking crazy tornadoey outside. At least it's not a snow storm like much of the rest of the country this week. But seriously it's really gross out and feels like summer in February today.

I'm going to have to shut down after the foldathon is finished. I have some maintenance that needs done and it's going to take longer than the 2 free days allotted. The foldathon has exposed some problems, so I'm going to have to do some tweaking and also some cleaning. I should be back up by the 3rd of March though.

I need to shut down mine and Michele's ETF rigs a little early tomorrow for some maintenance and upgrades. Replacing that 3200G with the 2700X I pulled out of my main rig. Hopefully it behaves a bit better or the 3200G will go right back in.

Ok so part of the improvement work was for Michele's ETF rig. I pulled out her Ryzen 3 3200G and put a Ryzen 5 1600AF in there. I also got some cheap water cooling parts direct from China which I was going to give to Joe, but Michele decided she wanted them (sorry Joe). So now her GTX 750 is under water and folding away overclocked and her GPU core is room temperature with this 240mm aluminum radiator.

Hopefully these folding machines don't go down while we leave to go on our vacation this week 😄

Quadro M2000 is down for a couple hours for a hardware upgrade 😄

Edit: looks like it's back up and running, hopefully without any hiccups with the new configuration.

I recently upgraded Michele's 4K gaming rig to an X570 motherboard and I took her old X470 motherboard and upgraded the B450 that my ETF rig was using. I also changed the processor from Ryzen 2700x to 5600G, and upgraded the RAM to some Ballistix MAX that I caught at a discount. Clean install, and ofc F@H decided to run 3x clients at default. Rather than killing the CPU and APU clients, I am letting them run on my other F@H key. Says about 500K PPD, which isn't bad for a mostly stock clocked APU and the M2000. Hopefully running the other clients doesn't take away from the M2000's utilization, but I'll keep an eye out. I think I can fine tune the CPU/APU and RAM frequencies a bit. Everything is under water on two 240mm cheap aluminum rads 😄

Now I need to figure out what to do with the B450 board/RAM/2700X. Might sell to a friend or just build another folding bench.

Well dang. We're having a severe thunderstorm and power went out for half a second, enough to reset every computer in the house. All of my clients were able to save the work units except my etf rig, so probably lost a day's worth of work on this W4100. On the bright side I might have some better cards for the team soon.

@damric i bet your shipping me your old ones :wheee::wheee::wheee: im just joking 😄

I don't know what's going on with points but they seem very erratic. Those little Pascals are dangerous. Are they overclocked? I'm eyeballing a better ETF card for Michele than her GTX 750.

Whelp, just noticed Michele's ETF rig wasn't folding, or doing anything except failing to load windows. Will have to fix it tomorrow. Probably going to try linux because I'm tired of windows updates breaking my stuff.

Good news for the other teams. My ETF rig is down until I get a chance to re-route some coolant tubes. Apparently when a soft tube gets warm enough it is more likely to kink, and the kink got worse. I told Michele I had to order some anti-kink coil because I had some kinky hose and she about tore my head off 😄

I switched Michele to an M4000. Thanks to @Cerberus for showing me the appropriate flags, now her M4000 and my M4000 are on the same machine. This frees up a bench I will need to test out the MI25 Instinct.
