When my new rig is up I will do a retest to see with SLI disabled and Enabled to see if it affects the score (Even though we know its not a multi gpu enabled benchmark)

This was run in 1920 x 1080 full screen everything else was set high as it would go except for looping.

Interesting, I may have to look into this when my new Rig is built. You have a higher score that what my 2990WX and 2080Ti was able to achieve. I am wondering if SLI is enabled if it harms the benchmark. As standard if an application does not support SLI even though its enabled in Nvidia CP, it will simply ignore the second GPU and the score is unaffected...but maybe this bench is the exception ? Time will tell.

Well this is somewhat odd. So I have a completely new build (Aside from OS as this was cloned) and I am still getting around 7300 on this benchmark lol. I have fully reset the Nvidia driver to defaults. I may consider disabling G-sync just to see if it is that. Other benchmarks seems to be coming out ok though.

Oh and by the way just as a hint, you can re-order your components in rig creator using drop and drag Unless you want CPU at the end..in that case ignore me haha.

My Vega 56 isn't too bad but it's a non-reference and this is the one in my HAF XB which is a horizontal motherboard set-up.

 

My Vega 64 reference card in my HTPC/gaming pc get's pretty hot if I push it hard though. I'm amazed by the sheer amount of hot air that thing can exhaust even when light/moderate gaming.

 

I noticed my rig got out of order but I loaded that up with my phone while I was waiting around to pick up my kids. I might fix it later lol.

It being non reference I would imagine is a large help. The last time I had a GPU which was as hot as a halogen heater was my Fermi cards, I think it was the GTX 470...Had two of those in SLI, Playing games was face melting lol. As for the rig, oh right lol that is fair enough. As it happens we are going to improve the layout on mobile for rig creator as it is not very optimal.

What I found interesting about this Vega 56 is that it has a separate flat heat pipe on the back of the card under the back plate. I've never seen anything like that before. I'm guessing it forces the back plate to act as a functional heat sink instead of just decoration. Overall I'm very happy with it.

I have seen a few cards with backplates that make contact with the rear PCB at key areas via thermal pads, but never by a heat pipe. I think all GPU's with backplates should make meaningful contact with the PCB to aid cooling...it is only logical.

Run the benchmark at 1080/1440/2160. Screen shot your CPU-Z tabs, your GPU-Z, and your score. Fill in your own score on the spread sheet (anyone with link can modify).

It looks like by reducing HBM speed some and by undervolting and raising the power state core clocks in the driver, I am not only running cooler but at much higher sustained boost. Nearly sustained at 1800MHz so far. About to see if it is stable in the 1440p and 2160p benches at these clocks. Been benching with CPU at stock too so I might load up my OC profile on that too.

I still need to tweak some weird setting in order to get a proper score for Noir with my sig system as it is still too low for what it is. Currently around 7300+ points. I will also be benching tomorrow to add to our new HWBOT TEAM, Feel free to do the same if you want.

make sure you are running the latest engine (5.6.5) in cryengine then run the test.When I first downloaded it it had an older engine and offered the new 1 right after the install. It might make a difference.

On a separate note, Superposition benchmark is able to put a fair load on a gpu card if you want to see what kinda reults you can get. it ran my 2070@ 99% during the test.​

Yeah Superposition is another good one, I will give that a go and report back with what I got.

I ran a quick one using RhreadRipper and stock card, so I am guessing the score sucks... We need more runs to compare to

What resolution did you achieve that score ? Just trying to see how you got that lol.
